Nicolas West'POV

Today is a big day for our company-West Inc. It's 135 years anniversary of West family business and fund raiser party for Orphanages and hospitals. It is held annually and is one of the most striking social events of the year.

It also means I have to listen to my parents' nagging how I should get married. I can handle people n business beyond well. My parents? They are too stubborn to persuade. Same goes to me as they still can't persuade me to get married.

"Ah it's damn frustrating" I murmured.

To get married? Hey one question. Do you want to cave yourself in a house with your so called wife n the kids when you can play around??? Plus kids are the most annoying creatures. So Marriage? Na. I am good.

West Inc. Charity Fund

Here we go...

"Hello my Son," Mr.West hugged him.

"Hi Dad"

"Mom," I hugged her

"Oh darling, I miss you. I haven't seen you like ages. You forget your old parents, didn't you? " Mom asked teasingly.

"No, Mom. You know I love you so much. I miss you too." I said while thinking" I would definitely come if you two stopped persuading me to Marry."

"Son, did u forget what I said last time I told you? I think I told you to bring my future daughter-in-law."

"Dad,How can I marry someone when I dunn even have a girlfriend?" I complaint.

"What abt the one spotted with you in last week magazine? I think she is Richard's daughter," My mom asked. Fu*k you media for putting your nose in my personal affairs. It's not my fault that I'm the most eligible bachelor available in my country.

"No Mom. She is just an acquaintance and I had a project concerning with their company to discuss. We just dined. That's all."

"Son, you should start finding someone you can love. We expect nothing much..just a decent girl." Dad said.

"Ah Dad, you know I'm not interested in that field. I still have my priorities. It's not like you dunn know them." I compliant.

"Men n Business," Mom murmured pouting.

"Btw,sweetie we invited our new family doctor. It's a She .A female Darling."Mom said chuckling.

Well you could imagine setting up again. See what my parents are like.

"What's wrong with Eric?"

I asked wondering where the old man was (plus intending to change subject). He is like a Grandpa to me. It's him who taught how to bike. He had been with us since I was a toddler.

"He retired. He and his wife had travelled last month. He recommended this doc by himself. No need to worry about her skills honey," Mom explained.

"Dunn change subject Son. What we want to tell you is She is a good catch son. I dunn mind you marrying with half Asian. She is a beauty with brain. It will make my grandchildren bright. She is unlikely to your proper hooked ups." Dad said.

Oh Joy! I hate Asian girls....Sorry to disappoint you Dad. It's 99.99% sure that it won't be her whom I fall for.

Then,People started gathering into centre. It's time for speech. We were too engrossed in this debate to care that.

"Oh crap, I forgot about the speech," Dad murmured.

"Old man," Mom teased him giggling.

Dad made a brief description abt our ancestors n how they struggled to establish this Inc. n then made appreciation to all colleagues, partners n shareholders.

"Here's is my Son, new CEO of West Inc."

Show time

It's a usual thing for me to make speeches. I am not usually nervous but not today. Maybe earlier conversation affected me.

"Hello ladies n gentlemen. First I want to say thanks to all of you for supporting our Inc. There won't be West Inc. Without your effort n encouragement, there won't be me standing here speaking."

Then, a red figure came into my peripheral vision murmuring sorry to all people she made contact with.

....A late one....

I hate the late ones especially during my speech.

....He had no clue that she was his destiny....

There will be Chole's POV next chapter. How do you think of this one? Feel free to comment.
