Ch.3

Laurens Pov:

Conversation flew easily between our little group. We had been at Ihop for over an hour and there was no signs of us leaving anytime soon.

"No way you were totally scared Mila" Tyler states laughing hysterically. Now we were talking about the time Tyler and Camila went hiking with their friends and that all the girls got scared by the guys when they pranked them. The girls were setting up some tents and the guys all came up running screaming that they were being chased. Long story short, it ended up with only guys in the tents that night.

"I was not" she huffed protesting, and continuing to say her brother was lying.

"Hands down guys, it was Tyler that was almost crying that day because I beat him up" Camila states proudly.

Everyone bursts into laughter, even Camila herself.

"Okay so that may not be one hundred percent true but you were scared too" Camila adds once we stop laughing.

"Pfff no I wasn't you're imagining things" Tyler brushes her off.

We stayed at Ihop for another thirty minutes before deciding we'd been there for long enough. Just as I was pulling out my purse a small hand stopped me. I looked up to meet Camilas brown eyes and she gestured over to Tyler who was already paying.

"Next time I'm paying" I sigh, putting my purse back.

"You want there to be a next time?" The younger girl questioned as we left. Tyler and Vero were ahead of us talking about the game this Saturday.

"Well by the looks of those two, my guess is that we're gonna be spending alot more time together" Though she tried to hide it but I could still see the happiness in Camilas demeanour.

"Well at least we can talk while they're getting all loved up" 

I let out a hearty laugh at her comment and she smiled back brightly at me. There it was. The slight gold flashed over her brown irises again. Their brown colour came back just as soon as it had left. I decided not to mention it as we finally reached the car. Once we were all settled we set off to Tylers and Camilas house.

Every so often I glanced back at Vero and Tyler who seemed to be having a deep discussion. They seriously would be a really cute couple and I know that Vero really likes him.

"Lauren"

I looked around to see who had called me, but no one was even looking in my direction. I snuck a look over at Camila who seemed to be engrossed in a book that she had pulled out of her bag.

"Lauren can you hear me?" 

I heard the voice once again and was growing frustrated with the fact I couldn't see who it was that kept calling me.

"It's Mani, I just thought you'd like to know that I was talking to the see-er that I'll be bringing you to see later" 

I kept my gaze on the road, wondering how the others couldn't hear her. Finally gathering what was happening I replied in my head to the vampire that was communicating with me.

"What the hell is going on!? How come I can hear you in my head?"  I hear Normani chuckle at the end of the, what I presumed to be, telepathic line.

"I guess I forgot to mention that this was part of the vampire gig. Sorry"

"It's fine. But like umm....can anybody else hear our conversation?" I ask, my questions getting the better of mr.

"No, there's different links for our telepathic power. Right now we're on a direct link to one another but you can also be on a link with the entire coven if you wanted to"
