*DING DONG* *DING DONG*

I looked at Lauren confused but she just shrugged and motioned for me to answer it. I got up and slowly walked to the door, not in any rush. Besides, we weren't expecting anyone. I swung the door open and my jaw dropped-

"Austin?"

******************************

"Hey Mila! I haven't seen you since Tyler's party that he threw." Austin Mahone stood there with a huge smile on his face. And Laurens in the sitting room and-

"Camz? Is everything okay?" Shit.  Why did Austin have to turn up now of all times. "Yeah everything is just dandy." I reply, not sure whether I'm trying to convince Lauren or myself. Before Austin can say anything I step outside and close the door.

"What's up Austin? Is it something to do with the pack because if its not-" "Actually it's not, it's about what happened at the party."

Flashback:

'Lauren had just left the party so I was heading up to my room when I saw Austin sitting on the stairs and he looked completely out of it. I made my way in and out of the few people that were still here and sat on the step beside Austin.

''Everything okay?" He jumps at the sound of my voice but  once he realizes it's me, he relaxes. He turns to me with worry in his eyes, although I had no idea why. "Just thinking, I guess." He shrugs and turns back around, before speaking once again, "You know Mila, I didn't even know us wolves had crushes. I thought you just imprinted on someone and that was it."

I looked at him with confusion. What was he trying to say? "Austin, I'm sorry but I don't underst-" He cuts me off with a fake laugh, "You. Mila I have had a huge crush on you ever since we met. I thought it would go away after I found my mate but, five years later, I still feel the exact same way." Okay now I'm internally panicking. I hate hurting people and that's exactly what I'm going to have to do to Austin.  And I thought this night went well.

"Austin-" "Just hear me out." He cuts me off again and I huff in frustration but nod my head, silently telling him to continue. "Have you ever heard of long-term imprinting?" I shook my head. "Basically, it's knowing the person you're imprinting on for multiple years before actually imprinting on them. Now I know it sounds crazy but" he looked intoto my eyes with longing,  "I think that we're one of them couples Mila."

"I-I don't know what to say..." and that was the truth, I have absolutely no idea what to say. Austin was like a brother to me and I know that we aren't long term imprinting, especially after I've met Lauren. "Then don't say anything." I now noticed how close he had gotten to me and immediately looked at him. He was starting to lean in. Shit shit shit, what do I do?!?!?" Before I could even think I was on my feet and standing. Not even a second later Austin was standing beside me. "What's wrong?" I could sense his hurt, but also anger. "Austin, I don't feel like that about you... I'm sorry."

It was hard for him to understand my words, and now he was completely fuming.  "What the fuck! I just told you that we were long-term imprinting on one another and you say you don't feel anything towards me? You stupid girl! Why Can't you understand that we're meant to be together!" "BECAUSE I'VE IMPRINTED ON SOMEONE ELSE ALREADY OKAY?" Hurt once again flashed across his face. "You-you what?" "You heard me Austin, now leave." He was about to step toward me again but I flashed my wolf eyes and he backed away. I saw him leave and continued my way up the stairs. I entered my room and flopped down on my bed thinking about the events that had occurred in the past few hours before drifting off to sleep.

End of flashback.

"Austin." My voice had a warning tone and he lifted up his hands and stepped back. "I just wanted to say I'm sorry. I shouldn't have acted the way I did but I was just upset. Anyways, I hope you and your mate get to be happy together, and again, I'm sorry." His voice was laced with sincerity, but his rapid heartbeat meant he wasn't fully telling the truth. I decide to give him the benefit of the doubt due to how long he's been in our pack. "I accept your apology Mahone but keep in mind, I may forgive but I never forget." He nodded thoughtfully and began to leave.

I stepped back inside and released a breath of relief that I didn't even realize I was holding. Once I open my eyes and see Lauren looking at me, concern filling her features. "Are you okay?" She questions, walking over to me and checking me over just in case I had any bumps or bruises. "I am perfectly fine, and anyways shouldn't I be the one asking you that? I mean the other day you came here covered in bruises and cuts, even some broken bones" She giggled and looked over at me challengingly. "Well I'm pretty sure I'm almost fully healed, I mean check this out!" She pulled up the side of her top, showing only slight bruising. I blushed once I caught myself staring at her abs, damn she is really toned. I snap out of it and look back up to Lauren who is smirking. She knows. "See something you like?" Her smirk never faltering. "Shut it Jauregui, now come and cuddle with me before I change my mind and you have to leave?" I gave her my best puppy dog eyes even though I knew I didn't need to and we headed back to the sitting room to cuddle.

Meanwhile, outside:

'Goddamit you were right!" Austin whisper shouts into his phone. "She was inside while I was talking to Camila." "I told you didn't I?" The voice at the end of the phone replied. "Now are you willing to help or not?" Austin smiles mischievously, "Count me in."
