Ch.7

Laurens Pov:

As soon as Camila left I hurried to tell Dinah. Unfortunately she's worse than a bear in hibernation and made it very difficult for me to wake her up. After waking her up, I told her my reasons in doing so. "It's Camila" as soon as I she heard Camilas name she jumped up and turned her head looking for her best friend.

"Where is she?" Her voice was laced with concern and it pained me to tell her that I didn't know.

"I-I don't know" I mumbled, looking down at the ground. I shuffled over to where she was laying, trying my best not to 'wake' up Normani. Since she's a vamp she doesn't sleep.

"Well what happened?" Dinah enquired, sitting up so she could see me properly. She had her head a little bit tilted, prompting me to continue.

"I'm not sure. I woke up and she was shouting and shaking. I was concerned, and then she woke up and kept saying that 'it was her fault'. I had no idea what she was talking about but I was trying to assure her that whatever it was, wasn't her fault. And then she kinda.....blew up on me" I trailed off, making sure to keep my gaze away from the Polynesian beside me. Surprisingly she put a hand on my back and pulled me into her.

"It's okay, it's not your fault. You dont know what happened, but I have a feeling I know exactly where she is" Dinah sighed, and then stood up, motioning me to follow. I gestured towards Normani and Dinah nodded her head. She already knew Normani was a vamp, I wondered why she still decided to pretend to sleep.

"Normani pssst" I shook her shoulder and she groaned.

"Gimme a minute" she grumbled before finally stirring and turning over.

"Come on we better get going, I don't want Camila to be out there by herself" Both Normani and Dinahs heads snapped in my direction, the two of them wearing identical smirks.

"You do know that wolves can fend for themselves right?" Dinah raised a brow at me, her smirk never leaving her face.

"About that....I need to tell you something about me....um I'm not exactly human either" I say awkwardly scratching the back of my neck. Normani looked like she was holding back a laugh but as soon as I sent her a glare she stopped almost immediately.

"I know"

"Please don't hate me I wanted to tell- wait what?" I was baffled. She knew? How?

"Your dad....he was in our pack, you're a wolf too right?" I mean she's kind of right. Just a little piece missing, 'oh yeah just I'm a vampire too so that makes me a hybrid' that would sound great.

Normani spoke up before I could "Yes. Sort of...... remember Brad?" Dinahs eyes darkened as soon as she heard the boys name. She growled out a 'yeah' before Mani continued "Well, he had been looking for a mate for awhile now and he just so happened to see Lauren a couple months ago. Ever since he's been set on making her his. Only problem is, she's a halfbred wolf, he didn't know that and still doesn't. But he sent me after her when she came back from the house party Tyler threw a couple days ago" I gaped in shock. He's been watching me for months? That's really creepy. I looked down in shame. I still have to talk to my mom about the whole wolf thing, and with my birthday coming up in less than three days I have to hurry.

"Okay, so you're a hybrid?" I nodded my head at Dinahs question and looked up to see what she was thinking.

"You're gonna have to tell Mila" she sighed. This made my heart stop, what if she hates me?

"She wont"

"What?"

"You were thinking out loud Laur" normani giggled along with Dinah.

"As much as Id to stay here and chat about your current growing fondness of my bestfriend, we still have to find her. It's almost four am." Dinah stated, making her way to the door. Normani scrambled to her feet and walked to the door too, I quickly followed.

"So where is it you think she is Dinah?" I question. We had been walking for a little less than five minutes and I was already impatient.

"Calm yourself Ralph, you can use your vamp speed but one of you will have to carry me"

"Hold up" I stopped and put my hand up for emphasis "Ralph?"

Normani laughed wholeheartedly and Dinah just shrugged "Ralph Lauren" she said simply before continuing to walk.

We walked for another five minutes until deciding that it'd be better at vamp speed.

"Hold on" Dinah was clinging onto Normanis back and it was probably one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Eventually we came to an opening in the forest. Dinah hopped down off Normani and we just laughed at her acting all non-chalant.

"So where do we go from here Dj" I ask, still eyeing the sceptical opening in the forest. Normani was doing the same.

"Well, knowing Mila, she comes here alot after her nightmares, so hopefully this is where she'll be" Dinah replied. She told us to stay where we were because this place was very personal to Camila and we didn't want to intrude.

"So, Dinah aye?" I smirk over at one of my newest bestfriends. She chuckled nervously and brushed me off.

"Pffft what do you mean? We're just friends" Normani answered coolly. She looked back to the forest to see if they had come out yet before looking back at me.

"Sure" I say, glancing to her and then back to the forest when I heard some footsteps. Dinah emerged from behind a tree with Camila in her arms. My eyes go wide and almost immediately I'm asking what happened.

"She's fine. She must've fallen asleep while she was here" Dinah shrugged. On the way back I managed to catch Normani staring at Dinah a numerous amount of times. I smirked at her knowingly and she avoided my gaze the rest of the way back to my house.

"Hey Dinah, I can carry Camila if you know....you're getting tired?" I didnt really know why I even said that but she shrugged and carefully handed over the brunette beauty that hasn't left my mind since the party.

Normani then started making whip noises and motioning her hand as if she had a whip.

"*cough* whipped *cough*" I just flipped her off and they laughed at me. We continued to walk and eventually reached my house.

Well tonight was an eventful night, but I can't stop worrying about Camila. How long has she been having these nightmares and more importantly, why?
