demons and mundanes

Rowan adjusted her top and tied up her leather boots, preparing for the demon hunt that would occurring tonight. A demon has been going around new York, hunting mundane and draining them of blood for unknown reasons. Tonight they would find out why.

"which color do you think I should use" Rowan turn at the sound of Isabelle her best friend, who was carrying a wig in both of her hands.

"the platinum one" Rowan told her, while running a hand through her hair trying to tame the mess.

"Isabelle, rowan, let go" the older Lightwood call from the hallway . She turned one more time to look in the mirror I cant believe I let izzy  convince me to wear this, Rowan though before She grabs izzy's wrist and pulls her down the hallway. They see alec, leaning against the wall with an annoyed look on his face, probably from waiting to long for the to girls, well mostly izzy.

"really" alec says, referring to the platinum wig in his sisters hand.

"what can I say? Demons dig blondes" she responds.

"I know but that's white."

"actually its platinum" Rowan interject. To which made him roll his eyes, he never likes being corrected or wrong. "and they don't exactly like Shakespeare, Alec" Rowan retorted with a small smirk forming on her face.

"You're plenty distracting on your own" he told rowan, as his eyes looked her over.

"So be yourself, is what your trying to say?" izzy  cut in smirking at the two. as all three of them stopped at the staircase.

alec just simply rolled his eyes, "never mind, lets go" he said, before shooting rowan a look and descending down the stairs. Her eyes landed on her brother, who was to busy focusing on the computer to pay any attention to the three; until he finally turned around and saw them.

"nice choice izzy, demons dig blondes" jace complimented.

"Told you" izzy said sending alec a smirk

"its platinum" alec muttered.

"alright guys, our demon friends are killing mundanes for their blood" jace reminded, which was an obvious attempt at bringing them back to the mission.

"why do they want blood? isn't that vampire territory?" alec questioned.

"I don't know alec. Lazy vampires maybe?" Jace answered sarcastically, making the younger Wayland roll her eyes.

"Maybe there's something in there blood" She wondered aloud, as jace opened the weapon compartment.

"you get me a simple and I will tell you exactly what they are looking for" izzy answered back, well passing Rowan her throwing knifes then alec passing  her, her bow and grabs his.

Rowan followed behind her brother as he once again makes his way to the computers, revealing an elderly Asian man. Jace motioned towards the screen, "this is are target." Rowan studied his picture intently, before turning around and following the others.

"I will get the approval for the mission" alec announced, making rowan roll her eyes yet again.

"come on alec" She scoffed, "by the time you've sent the message, we've already killed six demons. Besides, its more fun to break the rules" with that Rowan sent him a wink and started to walked away with her brother and izzy.

Rowan grabbed her stele from the inside of her jacket, retracing a rune for stealth into her arm. The rune glowed, Rowan then swiftly jumped of the building joining her brother and the lightwoods, keeping a close eye on the demon.

"hey! Can you watch were your going?"

Rowan turned, and to her surprise saw her brother face to face with a mundane. rowan then looked around, thinking she wasn't talking to him but Then saw her eyes lock on jace, great. Was all She could think , Rowan looked over to jace, who had a look of shock on his face.

"you can see us?" he asked. She simply rolled her eyes.

"well, that's kind of the point. But you obviously didn't see me" the red head said.

"you have the sight" jace informed her  making rowan furrow her eyebrows. How could she have the sight?  "how could I not know who you are?" jace added.

"Has that line ever seriously worked for you? Even once?" she shot back, clearly annoyed. All Rowan could think about that point on was I like this girl, Smirking up at her brother she had never hear a girl talk back to him before.

"rowan, jace!!"  alec called. Making Rowan tugged on jace's arm and he followed looking back at the girl one more time.

they walked in, Rowan was drowned by the loud music playing and the hordes of people dancing and drinking. Jace was the first one to spot the demon, who handed a vial to two men wearing suits.

"Izzy, row"

With that, Rowan knew exactly what to do. distract. She turned to see izzy with a smirk on her face that matched hers. they both nodded and headed towards a small platform. Rowan took off her jacket, revealing her mesh top. And start to move her hips to the beat of the music and just like they hope the demons stood up and made their way towards them, their eyes glowing blue. Rowan could saw see hiding in the shadows looking at her. She smirked, but kept dancing to the beat of the music. She run a hand though her hair and kept dancing, until She heard a scream that not only distracted her and izzy, but the demons around them.

"watch out!"

Rowan stood up from her position to see the familiar red head push the demon away from her brother, great ,maybe I don't like her after all  She thought. Rowan then heard a familiar hissing noise grabbing her knifes from her boots, issy's whip slithers  to her hand. Rowan then jumps off the stage and kicked a demon who was about to throw a punch at her, while throwing a knife into anther it disappearing. Issy then passed her a seraph blade to kill the one that had tried to punch her, as She watched it disappear before her eyes. She felt someone behind her but before She could do anything, it disappeared. Rowan looked around to see alec with his bow, She send him a thankful smile. but then She notices the red head running out the door, Rowan starts to go after her, when her brother tells her to let him do it. Leaving Rowan and the lightwoods to go back to the institute with out him.
