I got home pretty late, later than I was planning but something weird happened to me. Water started strangely coming out of my eyes, probably because I got something in it from flying, and made them burn. I tried getting them to stop but I couldn't, and it was making my heart beat so fast that it scared me.
The lights were all still on and I hoped Luhan had gone to bed or I think my eyes would start burning again...
Luckily he had, so I shut off all the lights and went to my room, unsure if I was tired or not. When I lied down I knew I wasn't. I wasn't tired, no, no I was tired, but I couldn't sleep because my mind wouldn't stop wondering.
...
The next day Luhan avoided me at all costs. He'd stop in his tracks and turn around to walk the other way when he saw me and would wait until I left the room to come back out. I wish I would have taken his phone too when I got the keys from him.
That night I still wasn't able to sleep. I lied on my back, staring up at the dark ceiling before I heard my door opening and quickly rolled onto my side so my back was to it.
"Hyung?" I heard Luhan's soft voice call, choking me up all over again.
"Hm?" I hummed softly as my eyes burned.
Why am I like this? Why am I being like this? I need to toughen up! Man up, Sehun, man up!!!
"Can I come sleep in here?" He asks softly as I mentally sigh.
"Of course you can." I say, not ever wanting to deny him the wish of sleeping in here, but I don't think I'm going to be able to hold myself together much longer.
When he gets onto the side of the bed, I take the opportunity to lift myself up off the mattress so he won't feel me moving around. I'm not trying to be mean and cold shouldery to him, I just don't want him to see me like this, because it makes me feel weak, and how can he trust I'll protect him if he sees that I can be weak?
I snuck out of the bed before carefully shutting the door he left open behind me. I went to the living room and sat down on my chair while I rubbed my tired eyes.
I tried to sleep, but I couldn't. I couldn't believe he threw away his blankey, he always loved it so much. But if he's too old for me to take care of him, he's too old to have a child's blanket.
...
I was woken up by the sounds of doors opening and closing and sat up before realizing what time it was.
"Hyung, I need to go to school, can I have the keys." I hear Luhan ask softly as he comes into the living room.
"No, I'll take you." I say as I get up.
"If you're tired, you don't have to, I'll come home right after school-"
"I will take you, and pick you up right after school." I say sternly before leaving to my room to quickly get changed and grab the keys.
It takes me few minutes to get myself together before I'm out and leave to the front door.
When we get into the car it stays silent as I drive. I can tell he's uncomfortable and can also tell by the sound of his heart that he has something to say. I wait a few minutes to allow him to say what it is if he's going to before I decide to speak up.
"I'm sorry I didn't make you breakfast." I apologize because I truly am, I don't like him being hungry.
"If you didn't want me to sleep in your room, you should have said no instead of leaving to sleep on the chair." He says immediately afterwords.
