“Oh… that’s so good” I moaned at the taste of the coffee I was drinking. This morning when I woke up was probably the best in a life time. I fill so alive, like I can do anything; I did everything I needed I got dressed in something comfy for work, not even caring how my hair looked. So now im in the kitchen drinking my coffee waiting for Morgan to bring my smarty pants back. As I was empty my dish into the sink the doorbell ringed and along with some giggling that sound much like my baby’s. I quickly walked to the door and swung it open to have a midget thrown into my arms.
“Hey momma!” he roared with excitement. I stepped aside to let Morgan in as she placed her bag on the couch and turned on the television.
“Hey baby! Momma missed her favorite son” I matched his excitement. He giggled.
“No momma, im your only son” his big smile made it so difficult not to smile.
“What you are? I thought I had two”. Who could forget with a son like him?
“No you have one and that’s me!” he shouted. Opening his arms from around my shoulders forming a big circle.
“You got that right, and you remember that buddy” I whispered placing my lips on his neck and started to blow on it getting a fit of giggles from him. I placed him down with a smack on the butt and told him to go play. I walked over to the couch to sit next to Morg.
“So… tell me what happened last night” she couldn’t wait a second to jump to it. I rolled my eyes.
“What do you mean” I played dumb.
“Didn’t Mr. Hotty come by last night?” She looked confused.
“Yeah he did, which makes me wonder how he got my address” I looked at her in suspicion.
“Ok, ok I did! But I couldn’t help it he wanted to stop by and see you, and I told him you were alone and bored” she finished with a smile.
“I knew it! Why did you do that Morgan?” I wasn’t mad her, because I actually had a good night, do to Chris of course. Thinking of the night brought a mental smile onto my face.
“Well because he really likes you Meg, and I thought you should give it try” she suggested. Wow my sister love to medal.
“Well actually that’s my decision, thank you and I’ll give him a chance when I fill like I am emotionally ready” and in all honesty Im not there yet.
“Ok fine I’ll leave it alone, only! For now my little one” she whispered viciously.
“Of course, only you” I murmured. I got off the couch and grabbed everything I need after telling Morgan bye and a thank you for watching over Emanuel for me. Once I was out of my drive way and into my car my phone started to ring. Not being able to look at the caller id I picked up the phone and kept my eyes on the road.
“Um hello” there was silence on the other end until a certain voice spoke.
“Uh yea is this Megan?” Chris asked. For some reason I couldn’t help but chuckle, this had Morgan all over it… again.
“Yea this is her, what’s up charmer boy” I teased.
“Well its man actually, and I was wondering if you wanted to go out tonight, to you know… a uh… date?” he sounded so nervous. I didn’t know what to say, I mean should I and just ask Morg to watch over Manuel for me. I mean I really needed the get out, but he said date. Oh whatever there’s no harm in one right?
