Chapter 6

Danny's POV:

What did she mean "I thought you already asked Leila to formal?"

If I ever did I would die. thank the nuggets of Asgard that I haven't asked Leila. I really want to ask Jen but so do about 10 other guys, including Derek and Finn. Andrew and Luke know that I like her, but I don't know how to ask her to formal.

I don't want to scare her off, but if I don't grow balls soon someone else is gonna ask her before me and then look where that gets me? nowhere. absolutely nowhere.

"Hey mate whatcha thinking about?" Andrew asks me as he plops down on my bed with a bag of crisps.

"Nothing" I mumble and turn around to face him.

"Aye I know that face. grow some balls man and ask her already!" he rolls his blue eyes.

"Easy for you to say, you already have a girlfriend," I retort, referring to Paige

"But at least I have balls. look Paige Luke and I will help you ask her. we can meet up tomorrow and discuss how to ask the girl of your dreams to her first Australian formal,"

"Thanks mate. hey the match is on, get ready to pay up." I grinned and turned on the TV.

*3 hours later*

"I WON HAHAHAH SUCK IT DANNEH YOU OWE MEEE!!!" Andrew pranced around the room and I sighed.

"Here you go. now don't you have footy practice to get to?" I grumbled handing him the cash.

"Yeah I do, it's guys vs girls day so we are practicing with the girls. you should come, I heard Paige convince Jen to try out for the girls team. maybe she'll be there.."

"Okay I'm coming gimme a minute!" I shot out of bed and put on a clean shirt.

Running out the door I jumped into Andrews car and we made it to practice 5 minutes early. I followed Andrew out of the car and sat down on the bench as the teams started to warm up. I heard laughing and I turned to watch the girls team. I saw Paige and Avery laughing with some other girl as they stretched. one of the coaches blew their whistle and everyone formed a straight line. the coach barked orders and Andrew came forward to demonstrate the drill. soon everyone followed in the same suit and I saw the girl that was standing with Paige and Avery. Dang she's good, almost as good as Andrew. why does she look so familiar? if I saw her face then I would know for sure..

"All right everyone we are going to do a little scrimmage! forwards shirts vs backwards shirts! get in a line!" the coach barked.

"Why not shirts vs shirt-less coach?" some guy called and some other guys chuckled.

"Not happening Philo, take 10 laps!" the coach commands and Philo starts his punishment, but not before slapping the mystery girl's butt.

At that she grabbed his shirt, swept him off his feet and flipped him onto his back. A huge gasp rose up from the group and the coach just chuckled.

"Well Philo? Get up and run you girl. That's what you get for messing with Blackburn!"

And Philo grudgingly gets up.

Wait.

Hold up.

Coach said Blackburn, like Jen?

Oh sweet mothernuggets.

That's Jen. the woman of my dreams. I sound like a girl. You have got to pull yourself together!

"Andrew and Drew you are our team captains for the day, select your teammates." coach commands and then goes to stand to the side and play ref.

So Andrew and Drew picked out who they wanted on their teams. Andrew picked Paige (of course) and managed to snag Jen before Drew did. when the teams were set, Drew's team turned their jerseys around and they walked towards their respective goals.
