We're All Just The Same (Matty Healy)

Well Its Mine And Yours

We had been walking for about ten minutes, with Matty's arm slung around my shoulders and me not caring enough to tell him to take it off, in a way it was kind of comforting even if i had only known him for less than 24 hrs. We walked in a comfortable silence apart from me questioning where the heck we were going, and then suddenly Matty stopped and went behind me covering my eyes with his hands.

 "oh shit are you going to kill me, if so can I quickly write a will so I can give everything I own to my dog I don't have" He laughs and starts walking again still covering my eyes "no you dork I want it to be a surprise when you see it, just don't trip on anything or we will both go down" 

"okay I'll try my best but its kind of dark so I can't actually see anything" I softly yell and hear him laugh again which makes me laugh and then again Matty stops which makes me trip and he has to quickly pull me into his chest to save us from both going down.

"okay are you ready" 

"ready as I'll ever be," I say getting excited 

"okay 3...2...1" he lifts his hands from my eyes and I am met with a large clearing in the trees with a small dip where there is a small creek running through and back into the trees. I turn to Matty in awe at how something so simple like this is so beautiful, his face lights up and he looks around as well.

"this is kind of really amazing," I say as I turn back to look some more Matty walks out in front of me and holds out his hand, I look from his hand to his face before putting my hand in his and walking side by side towards the wee hill where both sit.

"how'd you find this place," I say looking down on the creek from the hill we sit on.

 "well one day I ran away from home as I always did as an angst teen, but this time I was just so angry with  everything and everyone and so I just ran into the woods and I didn't stop until I came across this place it just gave me space to think and I come here all the time to get away from everyone and to write songs it's just kind of my place.....and now well It's yours to as long as you can keep a promise"

"wow" looking around before facing back to matty, "thank you" I saying being truly grateful he had shown me his place.

"and I cross my heart and hope to die that i will never tell anyone about this place" I smile at him and he returns it placing his arm around my shoulders again.
