Alex POV
I don't know how it is my heart is still in my chest but it is so I can't evade the fact I'm alive.
"What did you hear?" I ask Ross suspiciously.
"Enough to know you like me," he replies with the goofiest grin he's ever had.
"You have a girlfriend," I say walking away as quickly as possible and closing the door behind me. I sigh and slide down the door and close my eyes. I just confessed that I like him and it didn't go as well as I hoped it would when I would gather the nerve to tell him.
My phone starts to ring and I sigh. I look at the screen to see the word Boo on the caller ID.
"Hey babe I needed to talk to you," I say with a sigh as I through myself on my bed.
*You sound tired* she responded.
"God Im going to kill Riker when I see him you don't even know!" I yell suddenly mad at my best guy friend.
*He's here if you want to say anything* she says and I tell her yes.
*Hey Alex I know you prob-* he begins but I cut him off.
"Screw you! If you though I would be mad take furious for an answer! Honestly how could you do this to me! How! You know how Ross and my situation is and you go ahead and leave us alone!" I yell at him.
*Alex I was going to but you looked so peaceful and so did he* Riker argues.
"Screw you,"I said my tone a lot less angry than it was before.
"Was it that bad?" Ross asks and I jump. I thought he left already?
*Was that Ross?* Riker asks and I roll my eyes.
"I'll call you later,"I say not waiting for his response.
"Ross,I didn't mean it to hurt you,"I say looking at the expression on his face.
"Well too late cause it hurt,"he says walking away. I contemplate on running after him and decide to go after him.
"Ross wait," I say grabbing his hand. He turns around to see our hands and I squeeze.
"I didn't want to hurt your feelings it's just I don't know why Riker did that,"I stare at my feet," he knows that you and me are in a distant phase and he goes and lets us sleep on a couch together when you have a girl friend." I sigh and release his hand.
"I have to go meet up with Monica so," I let go of his hand and headed for the bathroom. I let the water wash away everything that happened today and its just 9:55.
I look at my reflection and am satisfies with the outfit I picked for me and for Ethan (http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=108898169). I get out of the apartment with Ethan on the stroller. We reach the Thai restaurant and wait outside for Monica to get there. I see a familiar face and I squint to make sure I'm seeing correctly.
"David!"David Lambert is standing in front on me! Oh my jesus keep calm Alex keep calm. He looks my way and makes sure no one else noticed me calling his name.
"Hey," he said walking over to me he looks at Ethan and continues,"that's a cute baby." I smile.
"Thank you his names Ethan,"I say with a smile.
"Well hello Ethan a pleasure to meet you,"he says kneeling down to Ethan's height.
"So how do you like New York?" I ask him. I honestly don't know much about him other than the fact that he's hot and comes out in the Fosters as Brandon.
"I don't know yet I'll have a proper opinion once I've tried the food,"he says motioning to the Thai restaurant behind me.
"I've ordered take out from here before but I can vow that they have good food it just depends what you order and what you like," I say smiling as bright as he is. God he's breath taking.
"You have a nice smile," he says smiling himself. I blush and let my loose hair fall on my face to cover it.
"Thank you," I finally reply.
"Your welcome now care to join me at lunch?" He asks me in a proper tone.
I laugh and say," Sure."
"Great," he says with a grin," I really didn't want to eat alone."
Monica POV
Aww that so cute ! Alex just got to go with lunch with Brandon!
"I think we should go eat somewhere else to let them eat," I say with a smile.
"No you said we were eating Thai food so were eating Thai food," Ross counters.
"Oh common Ross! Please ? I haven't seen her blush like that since you came along I'm happy that she's moving on just like you did and with a hot guy might I add!" I say hoping he decides to drop it.
"So I'm not hot ?" Rocky asks me as he pretends to be hurt.
"No your not," I say looking at him and he raises his eyebrows," your sexy,"I add kissing him.
"Actually," Riker begins," Ross hasn't moved on."
"But he's dating someone else which counts as trying to move on," I argue.
"But he broke up with her today in the morning," he continues.
"What?" I ask and Riker nods.
"Well then let's just head to her place and decide what to do there,"I say as we begin to hail 2 taxis. Ross sighs but doesn't argue.
An good hour and a half minutes later I get a call from Alex.
*Monica you picked the perfect day to ditch me* Alex said on the other end.
"Really how come?" I ask putting the phone on speaker so everyone could here.
*I met David Lambert! I was waiting for you and he just came and we started to talk and then he bought me lunch and we were by far the loudest table in that restaurant and I had so much fun he's incredible like you have no idea he's just wow. And then when we were saying our goodbyes he asked me for my number! My number! I have it to him and took a picture to save it with the contact incase he know or meet other Alex's he knows which ones me and he invited me to diner tomorrow! I swear I almost died! And I know your probably thinking he's rebound from Ross but he's not cause I wasn't looking for someone else I just happened to find someone else you know? And he said he plans on coming to live in New York so if you know he ends up liking me and I end up liking him we could actually date!* she squealed.
"One simple question,"I say into the phone which is still on loud.
*What?* she asks.
"Do you still like Ross?"she sighs and takes in a deep breath.
*Monica how stupid are you. You think I'm going to forget him out of the blue? We'll think again. All I'm saying is I think David might help me forget Ross which is good right?* she asks me and I turn to Ross.
