“Sh...She…did…wha…what!?” Jack sputtered out as I told the series of unfortunate events that took place the night before. His face was bright red and his eyes were barely visible from how tight he was closing them, his mouth was wide open and silent laughter was coming out of his mouth. He kind of sounded like a smoker with a bad cough. His arms were clutching his stomach as he dramatically rolled around on his living room floor. “Aha!” He yelled out has he pounded the ground with a flat hand making a loud slapping noise echo off the walls, his laugh resembled more of a rooster now.

After K.C. had uhm, made her point known and I was ready to get up from the ground, I sent an apology to my mother and told her that I had something important to attend to. In reality, I was going to this jackass’s house.

Ha, jack, jackass. Can’t be a coincidence.

I limped to his door and you know what that asshole did? The only thing that fucker did when he opened that goddamn door was bust up laughing when he saw my red pained face and my hands grabbing my crotch. He didn’t even try and help me walk in, he just turned around and said he has frozen peas in the fridge.

I shook my head at him and got up to go get a beef from his fridge, “Shut the fuck up man, its not that funny.”

He popped back up from the floor like a whack-a-mole and looked at me with a completely straight face, “The girl who you cock-blocked me from hit you in the cock with the block of her hand.” His serious façade broke and he plopped back on the ground laughing his ass off again, “Man…” A tear managed to escape his eye and he was wiped it away quickly with the palm of his hand.

I took a swig of the addictive amber liquid as I waited for Jack to regain his composure. After a couple more uncomfortable seconds of staring at each other, me just drinking my bear and Jack doing those weird after laugh things people do that make them sound like they’re hyperventilating, he finally seemed to be able to speak without laughing, “So what did you do to piss her off?”

“I fingered her at the dinner table,” I said nonchalantly, “Well I tried, but she flipped and ran out.” My shoulders went up and down in a shrug motion, I went to take another drink but I realized my bottle was empty. With a sigh, I threw it into the trashcan across the room. It landed an inch from the trash and shattered upon impact with the tile. “Fuuuck…” I threw my head back and got up to go clean the mess.

“Dumbass.” Jack mumbled. “So what the hell were you expecting?” He asked.

I bent down on my knees and began to pick up the large glass shards. “What’d you mean?”

He scoffed and looked at me like I was an idiot, “Well dude, you tried to get freaky with the chick during a business dinner. She didn’t even seem like she liked you that much to begin with, you just made it worse for yourself.” He stated matter-of-factly.

I shook my head at him, “You have no idea how she was reacting to it though. Seriously man, that girl – “

“Shut the fuck up,” He said abruptly, cutting me off, “Why the hell do I want to know the details?”

I rolled my eyes at him and continued my story, “Well either way, she was acting like she liked it. She flipped, got up, and left. I ran after her to give her something that she left. Then I kinda did something stupid again…” I averted my eyes and stared at the ground like a guilty kid who just got caught stealing cookies.

Jack stared at me, waiting for me to continue.

“I tried to get her to kiss me.” I looked over at Jack and was met with a blank expression.
