Chapter 3

INVESTIGATOR (SHAWN)'S POV

I've been into this case for only a few days now but I have no idea what could have happened. This man was obviously very loved, and he had a lovely wife although I don't know what that woman was doing calling 911 in his house. I can barely even remember her name, it was Fauna? or was it something else that started with an 'F'? Fuck it! Whatever?

I started looking over the file again, and decided I'd go look up this Fauna chick. They would probably have a file specified to her since she was apparently the last one to see him alive.

I am still very baffled at this case because he did not work in a job that made a lot of enemies particularly. I mean unless your condom broke and it was with some serious piece of shitbag.

As I sorted through all the files I had of this Jerry, I came across one that started with and 'F', Fern, maybe that was her name. I knew it was something that started with 'F'! Oh well I'll call the number that's in this case and see if I can get a hold of her and maybe get something good out of her.

2 DAYS LATER

I got a hold of that Fern chick, and she wasn't really all that help except for the fact that she was having a fucking affair with my deceased clients wife! She had no family that was alive other than distant cousins, but she was a very nice lady all in all.

She kept insisting that the affair had started during his honeymoon; however, I don't think it could've been that soon after their wedding. Although Kara, his wife, did seem kind of controlling. I would have to ask later which one of them proposed. She seemed to love him very much, and when I told her about Fern she seemed very devastated. She wouldn't have thought of her husband to do something so ungodly.

While she still had no show of her whereabouts that night.
