Every time I tried tracking down one of his [Jerry] business partners that might want revenge on him, the case goes cold! I can't figure out anything on this case!

That's when the phone rang. I picked it up as the voice rang out, "hurry, come quick!"

"Where to?"

"Fern's house!"

"OK. I'm on my way."

As soon as I got to her house I realized something terrible had gone wrong. There was police tape everywhere. I had thought she wanted to talk about something from that night privately, but it obviously was not that. Something horrible had happened.

When I finally got inside by telling the investigation crew I was the one working on her fiancé's murder, the finally let me in. How can I put this? I was very surprised by the scene in front of me. I went to the study I the house and found the most horrible scene.

The first thing I saw was blood. And it was EVERYWHERE. the next thing was a shotgun being roles out of the room. It looked like they had already checked for any fingerprints by the white dust on the 12 gauge. As I slowly but surely emerged into the room it was a gruesome sight. I saw bits of brain flung across the room... and that's when I see a note. I stroll towards the desk to pick it up, being careful as to not step on any pieces of her head.

As I look it reads,

'I'm really sorry that anybody had to see this. I couldn't take not being with him any longer. I needed him, it wasn't just a want it was a need, and with everybody thinking I was the murderer I just couldn't deal. Although I was the person who found him, doesn't mean that I was the last person to see him alive. Tell my family that I love them. DO NOT show them this note. I say DO NOT! I don't want them to see the blood from my dead body on it.'

That was when I noticed the blood splattered on the suicide note, and then kept reading.

'There was nothing else I could've done in this case but profess that my love for Jerry was for real no matter what anybody said, especially Kara. Tell her that I said I hope she's happy with her guilt trip on me. I have felt nothing, but bad for having sex with her husband, but had she actually paid attention to here husband she would have realized how profound he was with our affair. He would leave condoms in the trash can, like a married couple would use condoms, and he would also show many other distinct characteristics to an affair. It was her fault for never paying attention to any of these signs. He wanted a divorce more than anything although he could not find the courage in himself to file it. I don't know why anyone would want to kill my dear Jerry, but I am off to be with them. Goodbye.

-Fern Goldensburg'

That's whenever the note finished. It was evident that she had not been the killer in this note, and showed that she really loved him. I can't believe that she would do this in the middle of a case. Didn't she want to see the killer of her future husband brought to justice? I guess the pain of losing him was just too much for her.

That's when the crew came in to take her body away and clean up the remains of her brain that had been blasted away from that 12 gauge shotgun. I hope she found her way back to him, no matter what trouble she had gone through to get there.
