I managed to find the file of Natalie along with her autopsy then read the pages.
As Seth was reading the rest of the diaries and letters, I kept flipping to the inked pages of the report.
The victim was killed by some type of gun. It says. Along with the back, The heart has been shot as well, almost missing the lung.
I gazed at the photo of the dead woman. Like in her youthful years, she wore a white dress, but this one was stained by blood.
As well as the forehead, mainly due to the force of the bullet.
There was more details of the crime than I thought. Alexander Hilton reported that he heard the shot around midnight, and thought someone tried to rob him or paint more slurs on the windows. But as soon as he got downstairs, he found his wife dead on the floor of the living room.
He checked to see that the windows and doors are all locked.
I stared at the photo of the corpse them back at the autopsy report.
Curiously, I looked back at the photo then peered at something.
Somewhere outside of the window, a white pickup truck was backing out of their driveway.
"Seth?" I asked.
He looked up at the pages.
"Can you call Alexander and ask him if he owns a pickup truck of some kind."
"What are you going to do, Superman?"
Seth asked with a bored expression on his face.
"I want to have another look of the diaries,"
I said.Sighing, Seth gave me the books and left my room through the window.
That's when Cole knocked on the window.
I laid the books on the desk and hurried to open it.
She smiled as I helped her on her feet.
"Hey Luke," she said softly.
"Hey," I answered.
Seth only walked to the bathroom and shut the door.
"I heard about the recent explosion," she explained, looking worried.
"Is Seth alright?"
"Yeah," I answered.
"Are you fine?" she asked.
I nodded.
She wore a periwinkle blouse, khaki pants, and sandals.
She had her hair tied up into a ponytail.
"Why are you talking to me?" I asked suddenly.
"I thought The Expedition has broken up." Cole gave me a sad smile.
"That's just what I wanted to talk about," she said.
"Zach noticed that you are being so busy with the case-"
"Is that why you gave him my number?" I interrupted.
Cole gave me a confused look.
"Why would I give him your number?" she asked.
"You know how much I respect your privacy."
"Zach told me that you gave him my number," I said.
