"I'll have the Thai Chickin' wrap," I told the waitress taking my order. Unfortunately, Todd had run into the girls and he had three of them wrapped around his finger, the fourth girl already had a boyfriend, and they insisted that the boys come to dinner. So I was sitting in between Daniel and Jane, since they were the only tame ones at our table, and mine and Janes jaws were dropping at how the three girls were throwing themselves at Todd. They were the definition of "easy," not to be rude.

"You know that's not actual chicken, right?" Daniel whispered in my ear. I felt shivers down my spine then I whispered back, "let me imagine, okay." He sat back up and smiled at me, then he ordered his food.

Jane nudged me and gave me a wink before I stepped on her foot. "Stop it and I'll talk to you tonight, okay? I'm not up for you harassing me whenever I talk to him," I told her.

"Whatever makes you happy," she said with a snort.

We all ate with peaceful conversations, except for Todd talking to the girls about only God knows what. And the Thai Chickin' wrap wasn't as bad as I thought.

"There's no way I'm going vegan, I would miss chicken too much," I told Jane.

"Me either."

"I shouldn't have gotten a veggie burger," Daniel said. I looked at him and he was looking at his empty plate in horror.

"At least burgers will taste better now," I told him.

"Yeah, vegan isn't for me. Let's get a new place to eat at next time."

"Next time?" He looked at me with puzzled eyes then he said 'oh' with realization.

"I didn't mean to say that, but I like the idea," he said.

"Okay," I replied. Then Jane nudged me again, and I stepped on her foot, again.

"You got googely eyes for Daniel," Jane teased me.

"Do not," I fired back. She gave me a disapproving look and I sighed. "Okay, I won't deny I think he's cute, but nothing is going to happen. We aren't in high school anymore. No cliche moments where we look into each others eyes and we're suddenly in love."

"You wish though," she said with a smirk. "And he does too. I could feel the sparks flying between you two."

"Leave it alone. Even if there was something, and there's not, it's too early for anything new." I flopped onto my bed and Jane leaned against the doorframe of my room.

"Oh yeah, has he tried texting you lately?"

"Yes, about three an hour. Apparently he's still in love with me, but he's also in love with the red head he cheated on me with."

"Wow, I'm surprised he's actually trying."

"Me too," I said with a snort.
