Shadow and the baby werehog

Chapter 3

Shadow prepared himself to go to the park with the baby werehog by putting on a scarf since it's almost winter and it's cold outside, after he put on his scarf, he went to the living room and went to the baby werehog. He offers his hands to sonic, and he climbs into his hands taking the offer. When they got to the park, shadow let sonic run free on the grass, so it could feel like it's in the forest again. Sonic felt so happy to be free again, he felt like his old self again. But he knew that, if he were to be back to normal again, sonic must protect shadow from any danger that comes their way, and let him know that it is him that he's taking care of no. Sonic was also given the ability to grow into a big werehog if they ever do get into danger, that way he can protect shadow more easily instead of being a helpless little werehog all the time.

While sonic was running free feeling like his old self, he also turned back to see if shadow was okay. When he turned back, he saw something that definitely gave him a big shock. Shadow was crying from seeing him look so free and running all over the place because of it, of it reminded him of sonic a lot, and he really misses him dearly. He love him so much too, and thinking about their sad confession to each other that day, only made shadow feel worse. He fell to the ground on his hands and knees and started having another breakdown, but not as bad as before. Sonic went to his side and rubbed his head against shadow's hand while purring, trying to make shadow happy again.

Shadow took a surprise when he suddenly felt something on his hand and looked down to see the baby werehog on it, he smiled and carefully took the werehog into his hands hugged him in a possible way to do so. Sonic was happy to see shadow hugging back, he feels so much better with that, then shadow decided to pull away and gently put the werehog down as well and they continued their day together at the park. They chased each other, played fetch, cuddled by the lake and many other things they can do together. They started having a deep bond together and they started loving each other too, shadow also felt like there's something familiar with the baby werehog, but he can't figure out what and just shrugged it off for the moment and continued to play with sonic.

After a few minutes, sonic and shadow started to feel hungry, and both went home for lunch. Shadow started making milk for sonic while sonic was in the living room playing with a ball like a kitten. When shadow was done, he went to the living room with a milk bottle in hand and went to sonic, petting him on the head gently.

Shadow: There you are little guy, come on, let's get you filled up.

After they had lunch, there was a sudden explosion in the city, and people started screaming from afar. Shadow quickly took sonic in hand and ran outside to see eggman attacking, shadow thought of a choice, that is to fight eggman or go to safe place and keep sonic and himself safe. He couldn't make up his mind until he decided to do the same as what sonic had done for him, and turned to the baby werehog in his hands who is shivering with fear.

Shadow: Ok little one, I want you to go back to the forest and never turn back ok? I want to keep you and the city safe from Eggman. *starts tearing up a little and hugs the werehog for a short moment before putting him down and runs to Eggman to fight him*

Sonic knew what he was about to do and transforms to a big werehog and tries catch up with shadow, but he's way too fast for him to keep up. When shadow got to eggman, eggman turned around to see him here and smirked with evil as always.

Eggman: Well well well, look who we have here.
