Shadow and the baby werehog

Chapter 1

Shadow has been walking through the woods for almost three hours straight and is getting tired from all the walking, he still couldn't find sonic, but even if he could, he still doesn't know how he looks like. He continued to search for sonic despite the fact the he's tired and dehydrated from lack of water and from crying so much, he has decided that he will not stop looking for sonic even if he has to face the consequences from doing so. After another hour, shadow suddenly collapsed in a middle of walking, he was really really tired and can no longer go any further, he gave on and decided to call out instead.

Shadow:*tries to shout even though his throat hurts* Sonic! Please...come out! I really want to see you again! I can't take this anymore! Please come out!

Then in response, shadow saw a baby werehog come out from behind a tree. Shadow was shocked to see this little guy here without his mother, he doesn't know why it's here either, so he tries to stand up and slowly goes closer to it.

Shadow:*in a soft voice* Hey little guy, what's wrong? Are you lost? Did your mother abandon you?

Sonic:*glad that he doesn't know that it's him but still backs away not wanting to get hurt*

Shadow:*slowly reaches out for it* Shh... it's ok, it's ok, I won't hurt you. *manages to get the werehog into his hands*

Sonic:*lays down and purrs from the warm and comfortable feeling of shadow's hand*

Shadow:*smiles* Aww~ Don't worry little fella. I promise to take care of you.

Then shadow starts heading back home with the baby werehog in hand, he still doesn't know that it is sonic, but something tells him that it is him. He wasn't so sure about that, so he decided to keep it instead. Sonic on the other hand, felt happy to with shadow again. Even though he knows that he still hasn't figured out that it is him, he's still happy that he has taken him with care and love. Once shadow got home, he puts the werehog on the softest pillow on his sofa, and heads to the bathroom and takes a shower. While shadow was bathing, sonic was looking through shadow's things on what he has been doing ever since he...well...died. As he was looking around, he notice that the floor looks to have small water puddles everywhere, even on the sofa, considering that it's wet as well. Sonic knew exactly why there are, he knew this meant that shadow has been crying a lot and has been broken since that day. He felt sad for shadow, but he knew that if he didn't sacrifice himself for him, shadow would've died too, and he doesn't like that.

After a few minutes, shadow came out of the shower and went downstairs to see the baby werehog asleep. He blushes at the adorableness of it and walks up to it and gently scratches behind it's ear, causing the werehog to purr cutely in response to the nice feeling. Shadow giggled at the cuteness and couldn't help but give the cutest face he has ever done in his life from that, he decided to go to bed since it's already night, so he gently puts a small warm blanket around the baby werehog and heads up to his room quietly to go to bed. Once he was in bed, he instantly fell asleep from tiredness of todays advanture, as he was sleeping, he started dreaming of sonic being happy and alive with him in the park, enjoying their lives together, and promises each other to always be there for each other too. Shadow smiled in response of his happy dream, and didn't stop until the next day came.
