“And how was your day today Emma?” the lady from the Day care asked me as soon as I entered the day care.

“I’m Fine” I said while smiling politely.

“Wow, it still surprises me how young you are.” She said while walking with me through the day care building. “Too young to be a mother” she said honestly.

I smiled. Of course I’m no. I’m more than three hundred years old, if you ask me. I’m too old.

“Here you go, they are in there playing” she said with a genuine smile.

I smiled at the day care lady, Kathy. She was old, probably around fifty, but I could tell she loved kids. She also had the patience for it, something I lacked. But of course, I love my children.

Her green eyes seemed to glow a little bit brighter every time she heard a child’s laugh.

I walked passed her and into the room, Kim followed me in. she had been quiet the whole time, I’m sure she was dying of anticipation on the inside, anticipation of telling me what had happened today.

My smile widened as I watched my son and daughter play, the sad thing is that they didn’t play well with other kids. They were in the middle of the room, playing. Julia was playing with blocks, while Quinn played with cars. As soon s they felt my presence they both looked at me, and smiled.

I smiled back at them as they stood up from their toys and ran to me yelling “Mommy!”

I felt myself momentarily tear up, I always do when I look at my kids. There’s just something about having your own kids that makes someone feel like a mother. I love the feeling.

I kneeled onto the floor, making myself about eye level with my two beautiful children.

“Mommy, mommy, Quinn was being mean again.” Julia said in her low adorable voice.

“Nuh-uh. Julia wasn’t sharing, and they were being mean.” Quinn said while crossing his hands over his chest trying to act tuff.

I smiled and messed with Quinn’s beautiful blond hair.

“Let’s go home to daddy” I said while grabbing one of them in each arm and walking out of the door and towards my car.

The whole way home Kim was talking about Landon and Paris… (giggle J )

“He’s so gorgeous, and he’s nice, and he’s amazing, and he’s my soul mate. I have amazing fate. I’m already in love with him.. I-“

“Kim!” I yelled trying to get her attention. She stopped talking and looked at me.

I sighed. “I don’t mean to be a party pooper, or a kill joy.” I said while sighing again. “But I have a bad feeling about them… there’s just something about them that I don’t like.”

Kim stayed quiet, heck I didn’t even know what to say.

She finally sighed in frustration a couple of minutes later.

“Emma, you have your soul mate, you have two beautiful children, and you’re happy. And I’m happy for you, I am. But I want the same happiness as well. I want true love, and I want kids.” She said in a melancholy tone.

“I know… Everyone wants that.” I said with sincerity. “But I waited three hundred years to find Joseph, three hundred long years. You’re barely thirty years old” I said trying to sound a little encouraging. “But I get this weird feeling about those twins, just promise me you’ll be careful”

I parked outside of my house, but I stayed in the care. The twins on the other hand were already racing out the car and to meet their father. He already felt our presence’s so he was at the door waiting.

He looked over at us and waved, I could see the confused look in his eyes. I dismissed him with a shake of my hand. He nodded slightly before picking the kids up and walking into the house.

I turned back to Kim, still a little confused. “I know he’s your soul mate, but if he turned out to be a bad man…. Would you still love him?” I asked her with concern.

“Maybe” she answered quietly, before her anger got the best of her. “But this is my life Emma, it’s my life and I will make my own choices, you will not choose for me.” She said while forcefully opening my poor car door, and stomping away.

I sighed as I stepped out of my car and closed both our doors, then I walked up the steps to my house. I smiled when I heard the noise of laughter.

I opened the door and stepped in to find Joseph on the floor tickling Julia, while Quinn was on top of him trying to tickle him.

Quinn and Julia are twins, and both four years old now. But they don’t really look alike; while Julie is pale like me she has dark black hair and piercing green eyes. Quinn had bright blond hair and grey eyes, light grey which suit his small body.

They are very alike though, they think alike and they get in trouble a lot. It’s actually quite funny, they stand up for each other. I continue to get complains from the day care, every time someone picks on Julia, Quinn ends up getting in fights with them. He stands up for his sister, and she’s the same over her brother.

“Hey Sexy” I said while walking up to them and picking up Quinn.

“Mommy, Daddy is tickling Julie and he won’t stop” he said with a small adorable pout.

I chuckled. “How about I give daddy a spanking for being for mean?” I asked him while kissing his pouted lips.

He laughed and nodded his head.

I grabbed Joseph by the ear and bought him up from the floor.

“Joseph have you been a bad boy?” I asked him while trying to keep a straight face.

He chuckled and wrapped his arms around my waist. “Kinky, I like it” he whispered in my ear, sending the same shivers through my body, and gosh did they feel amazing. All I could think of was taking his upstairs to our room and…

He kissed me on the lips and smiled his all knowing smile; curse him and my traitorous thoughts.

When he pulled away from me he looked over at Quinn and smiled. “Should we play tickle monster with mommy?” he asked him.

Quinn smiled and nodded. Oh shit, I thought to myself.

That’s when he brought me to the floor and started tickling me, Quinn and Julia joined soon after. Jumping on top of us and tickling us. I was laughing the whole time. Loving my life. Loving my children, and husband.

Maybe I should encourage Kim to go after Landon, if he is her soul mate. Maybe he can make her as happy as Joseph makes me…. Probably not as much, but close enough.
