Alya and Nino arrived in the building after having a short conversation during the walk to school. They both shot each other a look, then separated towards their best friends.

"Hey, Mari!" Alya greeted as she approached the bluenette. Marinette turned to face the girl, "Hello!" she sang.
"-so, are you ready for tonight?" Marinette grinned innocently. "Oh- about that," Alya started, "I can't make it." she lied. Marinette's eyes widened and her smile faded. "W-what do you mean - why?" she questioned. Alya felt a strike of guilt hit her, but continued regardless. "I have to babysit tonight, sorry Marinette. But there's always next week?" She said reassuringly, placing a hand on her shoulder. Marinette nodded.
"But what am I gonna do now? I didn't make any other plans for the weekend.." she frowned. Alya smirked, "Well, you could always hang out with Adrien."
Marinette jerked her head upwards, smile fading at the sound of his name. "Y-yeah - I'll ask him." She blushed and glared towards her crush, who was standing at the other side of the hallway.
After being nudged on the arm by Alya, Marinette made a few short strides over to her crush. She puffed out her cheeks, thinking to herself, "Just relax, you talk to him all the time - you are best friends after all." She exhaled her breath, then continued walking more confidently.
"Good morning Adrien!" She smiled friendly. Adrien turned around to face the girl in front of him, rose colored blush forming on his face.
"Oh- hey Marinette! What's up?"
"Well I wondering - my plans for this weekend got cancelled, so I was wondering if you wanted to hangout again this weekend?" she replied.
Adrien tried to contain his excitement, he recalled asking to spend time with her earlier that week but being denied since she already made plans with Alya.
"I'd love to! But I thought you had plans with Alya?" he questioned,
"We did- but they got cancelled. So see you later tonight? She glared into his eyes and smiled.
Adrien looked down at her cheerful smile, and as if he didn't feel flustered enough..
"Will do." He winked, immediately regretting what he just did.
Marinette looked confused, then quickly laughed it off. "Come on, let's get to class."
He nodded, then joined her side and walked through the hallways.
