Adrienette/Marichat- best friends

part eighteen

Marinette spun around in her chair, thinking of all the things she could make with the fabric she now had. Everything she could think of however, was some sort of gift for Adrien- he did buy it for her, so it was only fair that he got something.

Although it was fun to hang out all weekend with the boy she loved, she also liked having this time to herself. She could draw, design, bake, or do anything of her other little hobbies. Still, she found herself feeling a tinge of loneliness- had she grown that used to being with him?

"Marinette- you've been dozing off for 5 minutes." The kwami spoke.
"Hm- I didn't even notice." She laughed.
"Adrien?" Tikki raised an eyebrow up.
Marinette sighed in defeat, "Yep."
"I'd say you've been thinking about him a lot, but you always do!" She giggled.
Marinette chuckled back, "I know, I know, I can't help it."

Tikki looked over at Mari's sketchbook.
"What's that you're designing?"
"Oh- it's a dress for myself actually!" She pointed to another part of the page, "and this one's an idea I had for a shirt for Adrien."
"Of course it is- but they look amazing Marinette!"
"Thanks Tikki" she smiled.

Suddenly there was a tap on her window,
"Speaking of-" Tikki sang.
"Quick- hide!" She whisper-yelled, "Oh- right."

Marinette walked over to the window, letting him inside.
"You know you're gonna get caught one day if you keep sneaking in through my window?"
"That's a risk I'm willing to take."

The two laid together and watched movies till it was late,
"Bye kitty" Marinette smiled as she waved him off.
"See ya tomorrow, Princess" he kissed her cheek before disappearing into the night.

While the two were together, they talked about how exactly they were gonna explain to their best friends that they'd started dating- without mentioning the whole Ladybug and Chat Noir thing.
They decided that the safest bet would be to go for the 'we just sorta realized our feelings for each other' thing, which, as Adrien put it, "probably wouldn't surprise anyone."

Now back in their own beds, they closed their eyes, anxious for the school day ahead of them.
