"Hmm.." Adrien pondered over her question. Where do you take people you like?
Adrien recalled a shopping outlet he saw near one of his past photo shoots where a bunch of town members were gathered up to sell crafts, candies and other goodies. He remembered seeing a few stands in particular that made him think of her: vendors with unique handmade fabrics- stuff that even with Adrien's limited knowledge of designing clothing (ironically), he could tell you couldn't get at a craft store. Mari would totally be interested in that!
He suggested the idea to her, "-And we could walk through this cool little town and check out the market area!" He said excitedly, purposely leaving out the fact that he fully intended to buy her whatever she so much as laid eyes on."Oh! That sounds great- and we can head over to the bakery and grab breakfast." She smiled.
With their plans being made and set, the two began their morning routine of brushing their teeth and getting dressed.
Marinette placed the signature purse she always carried around over her shoulder before making her way to the door."Ready?"
"Yep! Adrien answered as he placed his wallet in his pocket- you only make the mistake of leaving your wallet once; hopefully..

The two enjoyed a breakfast over small talk at the Dupein-Cheng bakery, eating pastries and sipping coffee prepared freshly behind the counter.
Of course, Marinette's parents couldn't take their eyes off the pair. Although Marinette always denied her and Adrien's relationship being more than just "best friends" to her parents, they could tell the two began getting closer.
Once they finished eating and Marinette had stuffed enough cookies for Tikki in her purse, they headed out to the market area.
"Are you sure you're fine with walking?" Adrien asked, " It's a little far from here."
Marinette eased away his concerns, "It's fine! I'm used to long walks!" she averted her eyes, "-plus it's really awkward when Gorilla drives us; he's so quiet." She laughed.
Adrien joined in with her laughter, "Hey, you don't even have to deal with him all the time like I do."
She stopped laughing abruptly. "Oh no- do they even know you're out?"
"Natalie should be the only one who knows, she's always keeping watch of who comes in or out of our house. Why do you ask?" he replied.
"Well- I don't want you getting in trouble because of me." She kept her head tilted towards the ground.
Stunned by her words, Adrien took a second to acknowledge her features. Right now, she showed genuine concern-
genuine care.
And that's something he loved about her; she was always caring about other people.
Her small gesture brought a smile to Adrien's face, and taking her hand in his, Adrien reassured her.
"You don't have to worry about me- whatever trouble I'd get into would be worth it."
She found herself blushing like she has so many times before, but soon eased up and smiled back at him, allowing her hand to be held in his.
The feeling of Adrien's against hers brought her soothing comfort, but also a feeling of unease. What if this is all we'll ever be- just best friends? Does the simplest touch from her make his heart pound so hard he's afraid people could hear it like his does to her? Still, Marinette held onto his warmth, appreciating every minute their hands were coiled together.
But little did she know, he wondered the same questions she did.--
