Before I get started I just wanted to say that I know this was supposed to be a oneshot but someone said to write more and I felt up to it. It may not as good as the last chapter but here we go...
My parents are having a dinner party tonight. I always love their dinner parties. Our neighbors will be here and we are very excited. The mystical girl will be here. I'm surprised that my parents are having them over.
They always keep them away for some reason so this is interesting. Maybe something is wrong. I hope nothing bad happened on their most recent business trip. I will be writing again on the same entry after the party. Why am I telling my diary this? Well anyway here we go, into the great unknown.************************************
Last night was great and fun! I couldn't write until this morning because of all of the drama. We got to hang out with the Baudelaire children. At first our parents kept us away from each other, on the opposite sides of the room or the other side of the table, but once all the guests started talking we got to meet up. My mystical neighbor, Violet, doesn't seem so mystical anymore, but the reason for tying her hair back still interests me. She didn't do it at all and I did not want to ask her why randomly. That would seem...stalkery. Isadora always said that when I notice Violet in her window I was being a stalker. I don't think so. I mean I'm just noticing her not like staring at her and I don't have like a random picture of her or anything creepy.
Back to the party. Everything was going smoothly until Beactrice and Bertrand stepped up to make an announcement. The announcement was rather big and exciting but not everyone thought so. Beactrice was pregnant. I did not realize until a few moments later that the Baudelaire children were hearing this for the first time too when Klaus stomped out of the room with Violet running after him. Isadora tried to go too until Duncan held her back. I was in shock about everything that just happened. There were gasps around the room and cheers. Then I got confused, there were mentions of what they would do with their 'organization' but the Baudelaire parents and mine we're telling people to stop talking about it "because of the kids". What organization? I know most of their friends were from work but what secret organization were they talking about? Then my mom said in these exact words, "You have nothing to worry about." I wasn't worrying until she said that but... now I'm worried.
She told us to go out back where the Baudelaires were but Isadora and I tried to stay in and listen. Duncan is to much of a goody-two-shoes though and he grabbed our wrists and pulled us outside. Klaus was sitting on a step with Violet comforting him. The news was hard to hear especially when you are the kids getting a sibling and you were told at the same time as all of their friends. I tried to ask if everything was okay and all I managed to do was to get Klaus mad. He stood up and started just walking around the backyard. Violet sat with us and talked about how she was excited for a new brother or sister. It started to get cold so we went inside and saw all of the guests sitting at the dinner table talking like it was some sort of meeting. My mom tried to act casual and asked us if we wanted desert. Let's be honest who wouldn't want desert? Isadora wanted something with peppermint, like always. That girl is obsessed with peppermint even when it's not around Christmas time. She was denied her request though since certain people there were allergic to peppermint. That is a weird allergy but I honestly would prefer to be away from all of Izzy's peppermint products. Wow I have trailed off a lot in this entry.
We ended up sitting with the Baudelaires and the other end of the table from all of our parents. I guess we were just confused and the Baudelaires a little angry with their parents. Everybody left way past our bed time and we were hurried up to bed with no time to ask questions. Now my parents are going on a business trip tommorow so we will be here without them for a little bit.
