Chapter 12

"What the bloody hell happened, who's blood is that, where have you been?!" my dad snaps at me as I walk into the courtyard, he must have woken up and noticed I was gone.

"It's fine dad, it's healed" I mutter not wanting to talk about it.

"Hope" he says in a warning tone.

"It was one of your old friends!" I snap.

"Klaus?" my moms voice comes from the stairs, we must have woken her up.

"Hope? What's going on? What happened?" she panics when she sees the blood.

"She snuck out, I was on my way out to find her when I heard a car pull up outside" my dad fills my mom in.

"Who were you with?" my mom asks.

"A friend" I mumble.

"Kylie?"

"No"

"Why did you leave?" my dad asks, we're now in the dining room so we don't wake anybody else up.

"I had a bad dream, I wasn't thinking straight I felt like I had to get out of here, I got dressed and went on a walk"

"You should have woke me, I would have taken you" my dad yells.

"Would you really? Let's be honest dad you wouldn't have taken me, you would have told me it was too dangerous" I snap.

"Hope" he sighs.

"Who did this to you?" my mom interrupts before my dad can continue.

"A red haired woman, she was young, pretty and bloody insane! She approached me and told me I looked just like dad, I told her I didn't have a dad but she didn't believe me she knew who I was, she stabbed me then told me to pass a message on to dad that she's back"

"Aurora" my mom spits her name out with disgust and looks to my dad.

"Marcel and Aurora, bloody hell we should bring Mikael back to join the party" my dad huffs and my mom rolls her eyes at him.

I look at my mom to explain.

"Aurora is your dad's ex from like a thousand years ago, you're right she is insane"

"You should have called me, how did you get home?" my dad asks.

"I called a friend and he drove me home, I didn't want to call you because you'd get mad"

"I am mad" he states, "I've told you so many times how dangerous it is for you to leave the compound alone especially at this time without telling anyone"

"I know, I'm sorry" I sigh.

"Go upstairs, get changed and get some sleep, I know your tired we can talk about this tomorrow" he shakes his head disappointed.

I do as he says and take a shower before getting into bed. I fall asleep immediately before I'm awoken again with another dreadful nightmare.

Hayley's Pov

"She's not leaving this bloody house ever again" Klaus states once Hope is gone to bed.

"Klaus, don't do this, if you tell her that she'll do something like this more often, she already feels like she can't come to us about her nightmares and needing to get out of the house" I explain, "you'll only make things worse" I warn.

"Hayley she could have been killed tonight!" he yells.

"Do you want her to hear you?" I snap at him closing the dining room doors, "this is your fault Klaus, I'm sorry I know you want to protect her but you brought this onto her, you gave her enemies"
