Chapter 23

"Theo stop he only has little legs" I laugh as Theo runs back and fourth in the courtyard and Patch chases him. He picks Patch up and sits beside me on the couch with him in his arms.

I've been on house arrest for a week. I haven't left, my dad and mom are always home. Kylie stayed for a few days and Theo visits. I hate sitting in my house it's so boring. Until I have a new protection spell on me I'm not aloud leave my home. Freya thought me how to do a boundary spell so I could put one on the compound.

"Earth to Hope" Theo waves his hand in my face.

"Sorry" I mumble.

"Your phones ringing" He tells me.

I take it from the table beside me and Harvey's name appears as the caller ID.

"It's Harvey" I tell Theo.

"Answer it" He tells me.

I swipe the answer button across the bottom of my screen.

"Hey Hope" His voice comes through the phone, for some reason I can't stop myself smiling when he says my name. I notice Theo smirking at me and I roll my eyes at him.

"Hey" I finally answer him back.

"Could we meet up?" He asks.

"I um can't" I tell him.

"Oh that's okay, maybe another time" He mutters.

"No wait, I can't because I'm not aloud leave my home, you can come over if you want I need to tell you something" I suggest.

"Ok, I'll be over soon" He tells me and I smile.

"See you soon" I end the call.

"Awww" Theo cues.

"Stop" I groan covering my face with a pillow.

"Fine I'll stop" He laughs pulling the pillow away from my face, "But I have to go" He says standing up.

"Theo no, you just got here" I whine pulling him back down onto the couch and Patch barks, "See he wants you to stay" I smile.

"I would if I could Hope but I can't leave Lottie alone at home, you know that" He reminds me.

"I know" I sigh.

"I'll call you later, ok?"

"Ok" I smile at him as I walk him to the door. He hugs me before leaving and after he leaves I go up to my room. Patch follows me upstairs, missing a few steps on the way up because of his small legs. He's 3 months old now but we only got him last week.

"Hope" My mom calls from downstairs.

"Yeah" I don't need to yell as loud as her, although it's a big house she does have vamp hearing.

"Theres somebody here to see you"

"Send him up" I tell her.

"Hope, you in here?" Harvey's voice comes from outside my room followed by a knock on my door.

"Yeah, come in" He opens the door and Patch runs by him and out of my room.

"Hey" He says coming into my room scratching the back of his neck.

"Hi" I smile. This is going to be so awkward.

"Theo told me about you, about where you came from and I get it" I tell him. He looks at me to continue. "I get why you chose to push me away, you thought you were protecting me"

"I didn't want to endanger you but I shouldn't have been so harsh about it" He says, "Maybe I shouldn't have hid who I am" He adds.

"Harvey it's fine" I assure him.

"Is not fine"

"I um actually have to tell you something" I mumble looking at the floor.

"You don't have to be shy around me Hope" He says taking my hand in his. My pulse quickens and I'm praying he doesn't notice how bothered I am by his contact.

"I'm an original vampire" I blurt. Way to go Hope, throw the words at the guy so fast he probably won't hear you.

"An original vampire? You couldn't be that means that you would have to be.." He trails off.

"I'm Klaus Mikaelson's daughter, the original hybrid" I tell him.

"Oh" He mumbles, "Does Theo know?" He asks.

"Yeah, he's known a while now" I admit.

"Hey, Hope I'm-" Kol says coming into my room.

"Oh, who's this?" He asks looking Harvey up and down once he sees him.

"This is Harvey" I tell Kol.

"Have we met before?" Kol asks Harvey. Harvey shakes his head.

"Are you sure?" Kol asks again.

"I don't believe so" Harvey shrugs.

"Well I'll leave you's to it" Kol says leaving my room.

"Who's that?" Harvey asks.

"That's my uncle, Kol" I tell him.

"Is he an original too?" He asks.

"Yeah all of my aunts and uncles are"

"I've really missed talking to you" He admits randomly.

"Aw, I've missed talking to you too" I smile.

"Why are you not aloud leave your house?" He asks.

"Some witches want me dead, my auntie Freya had a spell on me to keep me protected she was turned so the spell stopped working" I tell him.

"When will you be aloud leave?"

"As soon as Freya teaches me how to do my own protection spell"

"Well I'd love to take you out, as soon as you can leave your house that is" He says, "What do you think?"

"I'd love it" I smile.

Harvey leaves after a few hours. As soon as he leaves I call Theo.

"Hey" I chirp when he finally answers the phone.

"How did it go?" He asks out of breath.

"Good, where are you?" I ask.

"At home" He answers.

"Out of breath?"

"I was working out sorry" He says.

"Oh I didn't mean to interrupt I'll call you later" I tell him.

"No" He stops me from hanging up, "Tell me how it went, your not interrupting"

After an hour on the phone to him he decides to come back to my house and surprise me with food. We've spent so much time together lately, I haven't really noticed, I'm use to having him around so much.
