Mr. Luther.
A mystery gifted to scared all man kind or maybe just me. But either way I don't feel the least bit safe while I'm around him. Rumor tells it that he once fired someone from the hotel just because they interrupted him during a meeting. I know that gives me no reason to be scared of him but his attitude just has that scare to it. Like it come naturally for him or something. Maybe it's the fact that he feels the need to glare at me every time he looks at me. Literally.
So why are you in the car with him if your scared of him? My conscience taunted me, maybe because he threatened to put someone's body parts in his families food? I naturally growled back.
Mr. Luther's scent somehow warmed me as we drove down the long roads. Alessandro had some kind of 'business' to handle so he told me I would be fine with Mr. Luther. How does Alessandro know him? Who knows. All I know is that Mr. Luther has been grilling me ever since I stepped foot into his car. Although I keep my gaze trained either out the window or on the road in front of me, I can feel him occasionally glare over at me.
Unlike a normal person when someone is in their car, he just stays quiet. The silence louder then a speaker at a concert. It haunted me with so much thrill I wanted to scream. My thoughts naturally went to the radio but he looked in no mood for it. What was I suppose to do when sitting in the car with a mute.
My phone! Why haven't I thought of that earlier? I guess being in a car with a walking threat could sidetrack you. Well I can't really call him a threat. He's only the CEO of Wildfire Hotels.
As my hands started to feel around for my phone reality struck. He hasn't given my phone back since he rudely snatched it from my hand.
Clearing my throat I looked at him for the first time since we've been in the car, "I believe you still have my phone, Mr. Luther, may I have it back please?"
He frowned then nodded as if he remembering something, "No."
That was the end of the discussion. But my phone ringing brought back my helpless hope. He took the phone out of his pocket and read the caller's ID. Intruder much. He glared at the phone and then sent me a deadly glare. As he hands me the phone I accidentally snatch it so I could quickly answer the call before it dropped. I realized the mistake two minutes before I did it so instead of looking for a reaction from him, I answered the phone.
The person on the line didn't even give me a chance to approve I answered, "Hello." A frantic sounding Ari spoke into the phone. "Naomi are you there?"
I sit up straighter, "Yes, I am here. What wrong? Are you okay?"
"Naomi, I need you to listen to me and I need you to listen well." Silence was my reply, she sounded like the guy who called me earlier. Maybe not the same exact words but.. "You cannot come home! Whatever you do or wherever you are make a U turn if you're on your way here..."
The second I removed my phone from my face and seen that the call was still connected I panicked, "Ari are you there?..Ari," Silence. "Ariana, please."
"Naomi," The breath I impatiently held was released, "I'm scared. There's this man outside of our house asking for you. He's been waiting outside for a half and hour, and more men are starting to show."
The volume to my phone was loud enough for Mr. Luther to hear. So when he sped up I knew exactly why, "Ariana where are you at now?"
"I'm currently in the attic but..- Naomi they're in the house." She stressed, a long paused greeted me as my heart began to pick up. There was noises heard in the background followed by a loud bang. Nothing of a gun, but more like the slamming of doors. "I think they know I'm.." A loud scream replaced her last words.
