*BING BING BING BING*
"And there goes my alarm," I say while smashing my alarm clock. I've been having these dreams ever since I became 16. I'm 18 now. I've been having the dream of that guy, music box, and that rosary. I got used to the dream, so I don't mind it anymore. I got to get up for school. I got up from bed and walk slowly to my closet.
I chose a casual dress. It's a black dress with a rose design. I've always loved roses. Most of my things are rose patterns. I straightened my black curls and went downstairs. I see my dad sitting down and my mom is making coffee. I have a weird feeling about this.
"Tiffany, sit down. We have something to discus," says my dad. I sit down across to my dad. My mom sits next to me with a worried look.
"We are moving with your grandparents. There is an estate with a big yard and it's across the street from their house," explains my dad. He likes to get to the point. Without thinking, a broad smile grows across my face.
"YAAY!! WHEN ARE WE GOING! IS IT BIG? A NEW START!! YAY! GOT TO GO TO SCHOOL MY BUS COMING"
I gave them a kiss on the cheek and grabbed my stuff then ran out the door with excitement. I felt like I had something waiting ever since I turned 16. This city is too small and I may have something elsewhere. I lived in San Francisco for my whole life.
I'm excited but the only thing that's holding me back is my friends. Took me a while to make real friends but I can always make new ones, right?
I started walking when I saw the bus stop from a far. I should have asked more questions. The sooner the better I guess. When the bus came I went to my usual spot (the back of the bus). I put on my earphones and played music.
I arrived at school and went to my club room. I have to talk about this in the club later. Mythology club, like enchanted forest, beast and fantasy. I got interested by the dreams I have with mythical creatures.
The club members became my only friends. I used to be popular but boyfriend cheated on me and my best friends backstabbed me. These friend I have now are nerds, volunteers, GGs, etc. There are weird but fun, I will miss them.
As I walk into the clubroom, I notice that one of my friends is here with a strange guy that looks very familiar. I talk to my friend Andrew.
"Who's the guy?" I point carefully, attempting not to look obvious.
"There is no guy except us," he says looking around.
"No, there he is right there!" I say almost yelling and pointing directly at him.
"There isn't any guy. I'm going to leave," he says as he grabs his coat. I glare at the guy and walk to him. . . I'm actually stomping.
"WHO ARE YOU, AND WHY CAN'T MY FRIEND SEE YOU!!!" I yell. He looks at me like I am a ghost. Scared and confused.
"You can see me?" He asks as he points to himself.
"Am I not supposed to? You didn't answer my question! Who are you?"
"Before I answer your questions. You need to answer some of mine?"
"Why do I need to answer your questions?" I ask mad and sarcastically.
"Because I have your answers," he says, he got a point.
"Fine. What are your questions?" I ask annoyed.
"Age and last name."
"18, Appleton. NOW ANSWER MINE!"
"OKAY. So you are of age of seeing things in your dreams. Only a few people with the gift like yours can see me. You have powers and my job is to train and protect you. My name is James."
"Okay, 'guardian' so where I go you go. Just like in movies." I say confused.
"Pretty much. But only in your commands," James says while bowing.
"How can I trust you? How do I know if this is real? Am I being pranked? Too much is happening!" I say while confused and in mini panic.
"Well, if you are the special one. You get strange dreams, and special abilities," he says. I got those. But hey, I get a hot guardian.
"For now, I approve. Call me Tiffany." I say while handing him my hand.
"Alright, master Tiffany." He says. my face sours.
"Drop the master, I don't like it." I say. He shakes my hand and nods.
