"Dinner" Dad called through my door. When I didn't answer he walked in. He saw me crying and gasped.
"What's wrong?" I glared at him.
"Rachel?" Mom walked in. I stood up and kept glaring. "Rachel what's the matter with you?!" They looked confused.
"You should really tell someone when their grandparents DIE!" I snapped.A look of shock took over their faces.
"We're sorry, hun. There's no antidote. We we're going to tell you when you were ready". I scoffed.
"There's no KNOWN antidote! But always running away isn't helping anything is it!"Dad got a stern look on his face.
"Rachel, you aren't going to do anything about it either. Am I clear?" I know not to mess with him when he gets like this.
"Yes" I muttered.
"Good. Now come down for dinner". I sniffled.
"I'm not hungry"Mom relented and let me stay in my room. I called my friends to tell them the news. They're so close to me, that they all cried at when they found out too.A while later Jasper walked in and I hung up.
"What were you guys yelling about? Dad told me not to worry about it". I managed a brave face and motioned for him to sit down.
"The poison is dangerous, and they don't have an antidote yet. So if you get infected, well, you uh, you die. So um Jasper, Gran and Gramps got infected". He immediately started crying. I wrapped my arms around him in a big warm hug. "It'll be ok. I promise. I'll make it better".
