Today we're going to go shopping for food after school. That is, we're going to try to get money for it. Just then, Mom walked in. I quickly angled my bag so she couldn't see inside.

"You have to be ready for school in 10 minutes, okay?" i smiled and nodded. I've tried to be extra nice to my family, I can't believe we're actually leaving.

All throughout school we tried to be nice to our classmates and teachers, even though towards teachers I just didn't care. I mean , we won't stick around for consequences so why should I bother? School went by super slow but eventually the bell rang, signaling the end of the day. I met up with Lizzy, Paisley and Indy at my locker.

"Ok, I have $50. I do want to save some money just in case". i grabbed my bag as we headed to the store.

"I have $100". Lizzy grinned. Her parents were both super rich, so she pretty much got whatever she asked for. Paisley's eyes widened in shock
"Woah! I only have $40." It started getting a little awkward.

"I have $50, but only because i told my mom it was for a science competition that was giving cash prizes". Indy broke the silence quickly. I pulled out my phone and did the math.

"So we have $240! That is a TON of money! Nice work, everyone!" By now we had reached the store. Eagerly we grabbed a cart and picked up all sorts of non-perishables. Surprisingly, Oreos© are also non-perishable. I grabbed a two pack of peanut butter jars off the shelf. My friends gave me questioning looks.

"What? It's healthy. And delicious!" They laughed at my food choice, but it really is amazing. When we were done, we paid the $90 we bought all in food, leaving us with $150.

"We can divide them up for us to put in each of our bags". Lizzy decided. We split them up as evenly as we could and headed home. By now, my bag is stuffed! When I got home Jasper greeted me with a big hug.

"Can we watch Spiderman© Rachel? Pretty please?" I smiled.

"Sure, bud. why don't you see if Mom and Dad want to watch too?" I was determined to spend my last day with my family. Spiderman© is Jasper's favorite movie, and we don't watch it a lot. I put in the the disk and made some popcorn.

"Wow, Rachel! I'm glad we can have this family night". Dad commented. I nodded, hiding my guilt.

I have to do this. I reminded myself. Se stayed up watching movies or a while until slowly, i dozed off on the couch, Jasper gently curled up against me.
