Survivors

Chapter 4

Jessica didn't seem to notice, but everyone else did. Slowly and quietly I whispered to my friends, 

"Don't move. Otherwise it might charge". Jessica however, was oblivious to the situation and stood there ranting about Dustin.

"Jessica". The dude with the Mohawk whispered. 

"Don't interrupt me! A stupid model! I mean really, a model over ME? That's just a little offensive, if you ask-" she was cut off by the blonde. 

"Jessica!" He whispered with urgency. The big black bear was creeping closer right behind her.

"SHUT UP!" She shouted, and promptly slapped him. He fell to the ground, even though it wasn't even very hard. That was enough for the bear though.It lunged forward, pouncing on Jessica! She let out a piercing shriek, in obvious pain.

Seizing the moment, Paisley whispered, "run while it's distracted!" We all took off sprinting as quietly as we could. The two guys followed us, wimps, not even trying to help Jessica. Not that I could blame them, I would've done the same thing.Jessica's shrieks rang in my ears until suddenly, they stopped.I took a deep breath and kept running, urging the others to hurry as well. Soon we reached the woods edge. To our relief, the staff and students were there, being helped by cops.

"HERE THEY ARE! ARREST THEM!" Indy called with all of her energy, we were all exhausted. Immediately cops ran over and arrested them.A nice looking cop came over to the four of us.  We told her the whole story as she took notes. 

"Thank you, I'll send some nurses over to fix you up" at first I was confused, then I looked at us. We were covered in cuts and bruises, nothing too bad, just a lot of little things. We collapsed onto the ground, taking it all in.

Lizzy pulled us in for a group hug. "Today was insane!" Paisley sighed. "And it's not even lunch" Indy added getting us all to laugh.After the nurses took care of us they gave us food and we sat together and waited to be picked up.
