"Oh my gosh! Rachel are you ok? Do you need anything?" Mom gushed over me as soon as I got home.
"I'm just going to change. Then I'll tell everyone what happened". I was super tired but I know my family won't stop bothering me until they got answers.After I changed I sat down in the living room and told them everything. Jasper sat next to me, he looked so scared.
"What are we going to do?" He asked after I finished talking. I opened my mouth to answer but dad interrupted.
"Absolutely nothing. It's far too dangerous and besides, from the looks of it we won't have to. Jessica's dead. End of story". I crossed my arms.
"But what if it isn't? What is they get a new leader and keep going?" Dad gave me a look.
"It won't". I persisted though.
"So you're just going to let me do nothing? I almost DIED, dad! If we don't do anything everyone is going to die!" Mom pitched in now.
"Rachel we just don't want to risk you". I rolled my eyes.
"Mom I HAVE to do something! You understand, right?" I looked at her, pleading. She looked down.
"I know you feel like that, but what could you do?" I shrugged.
"Go out and help rebuild, find a safe place, anything!" Dad shook his head.
"You're not doing anything". I glared at him.
"Can't you see how important this is to me?!"I stormed up to my room. I pulled my phone out from my jeans pocket and started a group chat.
R: we need 2 do something

I cant believe this. We're actually going out there, just the four of us, to find safety. Scary, but i have to do this for Jasper. I can't risk him.
