"Hey, Autopsy Gremlin! How are you feeling?" Tony asks, peering into my room. It is the morning after the accident and I had just woken up.

"Sore. My whole body aches from the crash." I say, trying not to move. My voice sounds nasally because of all of the bandages covering it. Tony can't help but chuckle.

"Well... If it makes you feel any better that creep was our main suspect. He got proven guilty today and because of what happened yesterday he won't be seeing any parole time."

"I'm glad that Doctor Mallard and I could be of assistance...?" I say uncertainly.

"I meant that you shouldn't be worried, Palmer... You should be relieved. No one is out to get you anymore."

"Out to get me?!" I ask, shooting up.

"Yeah. You and Abby found that goo of a stomach and were testing it. He admitted that he was out to get you and Abby."

"It's always reassuring when someone is out to get the M.E. assistant... How desperate could he have been?!" I laugh.

"That's what I thought." Tony says. He walks over and sits down in the chair beside my bed.

For a few minutes, we sit there in awkward silence. I look down at my hands before I say, "What's going on with Abby and McGee?" I instantly regret it because Tony looks as if he didn't know anything about what I am saying.

"What do you mean?" Tony leans closer to my bed.

"When I was in the lab yesterday with Abby... McGee came down... He called Abby 'cutie' and looked embarrassed when he saw that I was there... Do you know what is going on with them?"

"I have no idea... But now I have to go check this out!" Tony bolts up out of his chair, "I'll see you soon, Autopsy Gremlin." Tony smirks before heading out the door.

"Tony!" I call, hoping he hears me.

"Yeah, Palmer?" Tony sticks his head back around the door.

"Can you have Doctor Mallard call Breena? I will be able to go home later tonight... Also. Please, whatever you do, don't tell Abby and McGee I told you. They will kill me."

"Of course." Tony smirks. He taps his hand on the door frame as he leaves.

"Mr. Palmer! I did not expect for you to be out of the hospital for two more hours!" Ducky says upon hearing the door slide open.

"I wasn't supposed to be, but I convinced them to let me go once Breena got there." I say walking over to the autopsy table with Breena at my side.

"Ah! Mrs. Palmer! So nice to see you!" Ducky says, removing his blood covered apron and gloves.

"Nice to see you as well, Ducky! It sounds like you and Jimmy had quite the scare yesterday." Breena gave Ducky a hug.

"We did. But alas. We work for a federal agency. Something like it was bound to happen sooner or later. I guess it just came sooner."

"We just came by to see how you were doing on your own... I know it has been a while since you have worked on an autopsy by yourself and I just wanted to make sure everythi..." I am cut off by Ducky's words.

"I am quite capable of doing an autopsy by myself, Mr. Palmer. Now you get home and get some rest. I will see you in the morning." Ducky sends us on our way.
