What He Could Never be Without

Hisoka's  (pov)

I woke up to splitting pain in my back and shoulders. But the pain I was now experiencing from sleeping on the floor, wasn't near as bad as the pain from all of the cuts I had made deep in my skin last night.  Pushing these thoughts aside I stood up slowly trying to adjust to the pain all over my body. I looked over at the bed where Rem had been laying sleepily last night. As I walked over to her side I could see the outline of her body beneath the covers. I pulled the covers back slightly to uncover her face, but to my surprise there was only pillow. I flung the bed sheets back exposing pillows all the way down the bed in the shape of a person's body. Startled I wasn't sure what to do. I didn't know where Rem was and that pissed me off. I slung my room door open and stormed down the hallway to Asuki and Leorio's room. I slammed my fist on the door loudly many times until Asuki appeared with a worried expression evident on her face. "What is it Hisoka, is Rem finally awake?" Asuki asked face now filled with confusion. "~God I hope so since she isn't in our room.~" I said worried. "I think you guys should look at this....."  Leorio trailed off. " LEORIO WE ARE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHERE REM COULD BE!!! IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO SAT THAN JUST SAY IT WE DON'T HAVE TIME TO LOOK AT WHATEVER YOU ARE TRYING TO SHOW US!!!" Asuki yelled directly at Leorio. I stood back hoping for a fight to break out......but unfortunately none came, only a calm know it all explanation from Leorio. " Oh well I thought you guys would like to know that Rem is flying as a black dragon with green eyes outside the window.....but I guess I was wrong." He said smugly. "OH MY GOD WHERE!?!?!" Asuki yelled. Leorio pointed and we both trailed down his arm in the direction he was pointing until we saw her. "~Rem come back!!!~" I called out as I ran down the hallway. She couldn't hear me. I screamed in agony the woman I loved who I could never be without she is everything to me, and now she is gone. The tears poured down my face making me look out of character and weak. Asuki's warm hand lay gently on my shoulder now as I sat on the floor in a heap thinking about the woman I love that is gone. "Don't worry Hisoka, she will be back she probably just went out to fly, she does that often. And please don't cry" Asuki said calming my nerves, I dried my tears and stood to my feet.  I looked out the window as Rem faded from my vision.  I walked down the hallway in my usual saunter. I was following Rem I needed to know what she was doing. I longed for her touch, my teeth nipping at her flesh, her soft lips on mine, and her body crushed under mine. I wanted her, no I needed her. The way she runs her fingers through my hair when I'm sleeping, the way she calms me down when my bloodlust is spiking, the way she completes me. I can't lose her. "Hisoka wait!!!" I hear from behind me and know it to be Asuki. "~yes?~" I say turning around casually hiding my thoughts and sadness. "Let me help you find her." She said hopeful. "~only if it's what you would like, I would hate to keep you from Leorio, in case he would like to spend the day with you instead if you get what I'm saying.~" I said with a wink. Her reaction was all I needed to realize I had said the right thing. Her face flushed and she denied it over and over but her face said it all. "No No you listen here Hisoka that won't be happening for a while unless he wants it." She said face darkening from pink to red in a matter of seconds. "~Oh I'm sure he already does.~" I said turning around and walking again in the direction Rem had flown. Asuki had caught up to me and was walking beside me, her face shadowed but I knew her blush was still evident on her face. "Do.....do you think he wants it..??" Asuki finally asked looking up at me with longing eyes. "~Well any guy who has the pleasure of being that close to you would want it more than anything, but Leorio respects you so he won't force the thing onto you. But my natural instinct would, well yes I would definitely want it if I wasn't so damn attracted to Rem. She drives me insane but I love her. Part of the reason I love her so much is she matches my crazy, big time. But yes I believe he wants it bad just by the way he looks at you I can tell take it from an expert.~" I replied. "Oh.....ok." She finally replied after a long silence. "We should go back to our rooms, I promise Rem will come back trust me, take it from an expert." She said repeating my previous statement. "~Fine let's go.~" I said mad and sad that I couldn't search for her longer. We arrived back at our rooms and she walked inside and Leorio greeted her. It was just me, I walked enveloped I'm the sounds of the night all around me. If Rem was here we would probably be talking about something inappropriate or something funny. But it was just me. I arrived at my room shortly after dropping Asuki off at her room. I unlocked the door and stripped down and climbed into bed. It was lonely without her here, I miss her. I want to hold her in my arms again. I want to kiss her soft lips again and hold her all night.  I want to sneak up on her when she is brushing her teeth and scare her. I want her hug her from behind, I want to feel her. But most of all I want to see her again. I have forgotten what it's like to be around her. I need her with me forever and always.  That night sleep never came, I tossed and turned and every noise I heard made me hope it was Rem walking through the door. But it was never her. After about 2 hours of tossing and turning sleep finally washed away my thoughts and lulled me to sleep. I woke up freezing without her body heat to surround me. I pushed the cold away and fell asleep again dreaming about what it would be like to see her face again, and run my fingers through her hair. These happy thoughts are what warmed me and pulled me into a deep sleep.
