Leigh and Loren stepped into the large luxery suit last, standing against the wall.  Everyone turned their attention to Miah, slender figure, strawberry blond hair, and eyes the color of sparkling water.  She flicked a manicured nail through her hair and said in a voice, that was both commanding and beautiful, "As you know, Althea has entered our ranks.  And has shown her honor, loyalty and power.  She seems to have fit in well here.  She truly was chosen by the Goddess.  Although, tragedy has struck her, she was strong through it all, and us with her. And, I know that it has only been several months since she joined us, but i would like to have a vote."

A murmur went around the room, shocked and surprised. Miah laughed and held up a hand to silence them.  She continued, "I would like to a have a vote on if she could refill the place of Annah, our last maiden.  She has the head of a leader, and soon to coven her own."

There was silence.  Then, cheering.  Miah smiled and nodded to me, and i nodded back.  She motioned for me to stand, so I did.  With a smile, Miah said "And now we have our maiden."

The door opened with a crash, hushing everyone up.  "I'd like to veto that."  It was a mans voice, and he was angry.  Miah turned angrily, she opened her mouth to shout at the intruder, but stopped.  Her eyes went wide, and her mouth seemed to fall open.  Her beautiful skin turned pale.  I had never seen her this way, and I was suddenly afraid.

I looked at the man who stood in the doorway.  He was tall, slim and looked about 18.  His eyes were piercing black daggers and his long black hair fell over one eye.  He wore all black, one hand wrapped in bandages.  His gaze staied on me the whole time but he talked to Miah.

"How could you? You know better than to take her place!", his voice was hard, cold, full of hate and anger.  It sent chills down my spine.

Miah came out of  her shock and said, "We need another maiden! We are dropping and dont have time for your bullshit!"

This angered him. "She'll be back, and when she is. You'll all pay!"

"She isn't coming back Marcus! She's dead. So get over yourself."

The guy, Marcus, turned around. And laughed.  It was a disturbing laugh. Angry and manicle.  "She's dead? Oh, and i suspect she wont die too?" He pointed at me, his eyes wide and turning from black to red.

"You've lost it Marcus.  Get out. You're lucky you're ever still one of us."

He turned away from us and said, in a voice that was eerily nonchalant, "Oh, by the way, you have a little visitor.  I do believe she wants an audience with you.  I think she said something about coming from The Circle of the Rising Sun?"

He left quickly.  No one said a word, and I dared not look at any of them.  What had he meant? Who had died? I was unnerved.  Miah suddenly put a hand on my shoulder.  "Ignore him.  He's been crazy ever since Anna left us.  That was his soul mate. " Her voice was sad as she spoke those last five words. That was his soulmate.

Leigh and Loren left the room, quietly. Not saying a word.  They were twins, both quiet and observant.  Both with white-blond hair and eyes that were like cats. Green, like emeralds and skin that was tanned to perfection.

They came back, followed by a short, petite, girl.  Her chestnut brown, curly, hair fell against her slender shoulder.  Her almond brown eyes were wide and swept across the room.  And her skin was tanned, as if she lived on a farm and had been working in the sun all day.  She wore close to nothing. Her shorts were too short, and her tank top looked as if it were mad for a little dog.

She wore a smile that was too bright and too happy.  Miah nodded in acknowledgment and so did the girl.  "You must be Iria?"

The girl nodded. "Iria AngelMaid. From Circle of the Rising Sun."

Miah frowned and said, "I see." She turned with a sigh and addressed the room. "I thought that they'd send her later on. So, i never got a chance to discuss this with you.  We are taking in another member.  One from a different coven. I'm doing this to contemplate their views on things compared to ours. But she is entering this coven as you all have. So, her further title and level are denounced and I am giving her the choice of a different name, since it was her true right to the name she bares now. So, Iria? Do you wish for a new name?"

Iria lifted her head proudly and said "From now on, I will be known as Iria DragonSong."

Miah nodded. "May you feel welcome, Iria."

Iria looked at me and her eyes darkened. "Oh, i shall."
