Dear Josh,

A few days later you were on the news; a picture of you flashing on the television, big glaring brown eyes and sharp teeth, staring at me.

They found you when you started to smell, gobbled up by a bear. They said you were a tragedy, and I got so so mad. You weren't a tragedy, they didn't know you. You were a half finished love song, that nobody would hear.

I really thought you were make-believe, that you were just pretend.

I'm sorry, Josh.

Dad looked at the tv, too.

He asked, "didn't you have a friend that looked just like that?"

And I said, "no, my friend wasn't real."

Sincerely,
Tyler.
