It All Went Down On That Day

I lifted the weight over my head and held it there before exhaling and letting it fall back on the mat, it rattled loudly and I took my wrist in my hand rolling it in circles. Again. I tightened my gloves and bent over to grab the weight. Someone called out to my from somewhere behind me, gripped the bar ignoring who ever called me, then Inhaled bouncing it off of my thighs and up to my chest then hoisting it up again

"Impressive, you usually don't see girls lift like that" I held it a little longer then dropped it again turning to see Jon shirtless with a water bottle in his hand, he was sitting on a bench across the room

"Hm" I responded, too in my zone to acknowledge him, I took the weights off and put them back in the rack then rolled the bar against the others. Jon watched my quietly, I walked over to the hand held weight and started working on my hips and legs.

"Luna how long are you going to ignore me" I stopped and turned to him

"Don't you have a match to prepare for? That's why you came right?" He shook his head

"No....I came to clear my head. Like you" I looked away and continued to work out

"I'm not here to 'clear my head'. I have a match-" he chuckled

"You have a match to prepare for at 2 am" I was quiet
"Right, talk to me. What's on your mind?" Well, sorry if I don't feel comfortable talking to the man involved in Lexi getting kid napped and shot. I didn't realize I was being unreasonable, note the sarcasm. My face must've said everything I was thinking because he released a small noise of frustration

"You know, I loved her too. I loved her so much. It's not like she's dead, and it's not like I'm the one that pulled the trigger-" I stood up

"I know you're not the one that pulled the trigger"

"Well you sure as hell don't act like you know it, I care about her too. Just  because you don't see it , doesn't mean that I'm not hurting as well"  he rushed his words out and I could tell he really did care about her, in that moment I felt like a huge piece of shit.

"I'm sor-..." when I turned around he was gone, I sighed gripping the weights tightly

"I'm sorry..." I whispered, great. Another distraction, something I definitely don't need right now. What I do need is coffee, I sighed putting the weights back on the rack then scooping up my belongings.

(LexiPOV)
I quickly rolled on my stomach pressing my hands against the bed when I felt sick, I hung my head over the side of the bed and threw up in the bucket shortly after. My chest rapidly rose and fell as my breathing got heavier, fuck. The medication is wearing off. I rolled on my back again just as the door opened, a blonde woman walked in wearing a pink pantsuit with white pointed toe heels. Her hair was neatly tucked away into a bun, her eyes ran over my body and I saw a flash of something in her eyes. She turned to the man behind her and thanked him, he gave her nod and left.

"Honey?" She stepped closer, I stared at her giving my eyes a chance to focus on her.
"Can you hear me?"  She settled in the chair beside the bed taking my hand in hers, I responded immediately by withdrawing my hand.

"Why are you here" I weakly snapped at her, trying to ignore how hot I was feeling. Sweat rolled down my forehead,  goodness. I'm in terrible fucking shape..
"To be honest, I don't care. Where is Luna?" She just looked at me

"You know, I'm hurt. My daughter is in such a horrible state and horrible pain, yet she wishes anyone but her mother was here"

"Well you left me on my own many times, haven't talked to me since I was 10 and ignored from then on, and we lived in the same house. Oh yeah, and I just got shot in the stomach. I won" I gave her a fake smile and looked away, finding the window more interesting than her whole 'I care about you' act. She was quiet for a while, then chuckled softly
