Chapter 4

3rd pov, Timeskip
(Y/n) was arriving at the location where Ozpin is at. He find a stonepath, leading somewhere. At the end, was a wood cabin. It had a bench on the porch, the wood was sturdy and strong, the door had some carvings on it, with a small window in it. (Y/n) enter, he was amazed by how good it looks. There was a kitchen with lots of drawers, space to cook, and a wide fridge. Next to the kitchen was a table. The living room had a long couch, two chairs, a fireplace, and tv above it.

(Y/n) Pov
I keep exploring the house. I go down a hallway and I found the bathroom, in front of it, there was a door that said Guest room, further down was a normal room. I looked at the door, and it says my name.

Me: "That's my name. Why is my name carved on the door?
Ozpin: "Because this is your home."

I was spooked and I turn around, about to take out Mercy, but it was just Ozpin.

Me: "You scared me. I was about to shoot you on the head."
Ozpin: "Glad you didn't. So you like your home so far?"
Me: "This is my house?"
Ozpin: "Of course, I'm not letting one of my students to sleep on a tree during the cold night."
Me: "Thank you very much, I owe you alot."
Ozpin: "Your welcome, and don't worry, I'll call you when I need you."

After that me and Ozpin chat awhile, and made coffee.

Ozpin: "Oh, I almost forgot. For you to attend Beacon officially, you have to pass a test."
Me: "A test? Why?"
Ozpin: "To prove that you can attend here."
Me: "Alright...."
Ozpin: "You're supposed to be on a team as well, but because of your 'condition', you will go solo and assit teams on missions."
Me: "Sounds good. When is the test?"
Ozpin: "Tomorrow morning, at the cliff by Emeral Forest. Your objective is to get an artifact and bring it back. You will also fight off against grim."
Me: "I should rest then." We headed to the door. "Thanks once again Ozpin, you can't believe how grateful I am."
Ozpin: "Your welcome (Y/n), see you tomorrow."

I went upstairs to take a shower, it felt amazing. I got out, dried myself, and went to bed. Since I don't have sleeping wear, I'll just sleep naked. I lay down on my bed, and cover myself with a blanket.

Me: After the test, I think I'm going to go buy stuff."

I doze off to sleep.
I open my eyes, and I appear on a field of dark lifeless grass. The sky was red and everything else was gray. I look at my hands and they were also gray, I also had dark robes on.

Me: "What is this place?"
???: "Good to see you again."

I heard a dark voice, I turn around and saw a dark figure, with robes. I couldn't see his face because he had a hood on.

Me: "Who are you?!"
???: "I'm proud of how much you have grown..."
Me: "I said, who are you? What do want?"
???: "I'm the one who gave you life..."

My eyes widen, I couldn't believe what he said.

Me: "W-what do you mean?"
???: "You... Are the descendant of death."

I backed away a bit, I was in shock, still processing what he said.

Me: "This must be a joke. There's no way."
???: "No, this is all happening and is all true."
Me: "Wait a moment. If you were the one who gave me life, and I'm descendant of death, as you say, does that mean that you... That you are death?... That You are... My father?"
Death: "That's correct... My son. And you will soon take my place, but for now, I'll let you enjoy life... I also left you a gift, so you can get a feel to it..." He started to disappear into smoke. "Until we meet again..."

Once he was gone, it got all dark. I open my eyes, and noticed I'm still in bed. I stood still for a few seconds, and sit up.

Me: "Is death really my father?"
