The Wanted Twin

Chapter 2

The night after the first day of school.

The first day of school was a success. I got Millicent's number and I was enjoying Los Angeles. I decided I would go for a swim then a run to the park afterwords. I got my swimsuit on and cleaned my body in the shower outside then went for a swim for about twenty minutes or so, when I got done with my swim I wringed my hair out and put it up into a pony tail, I put my old school tee-shirt and some workout pants on with my running shoes and left for the park.

The park was literally just a field of grass with trees, trails and random benches. I sat down at one of the benches and took my headphones out of my ears. There was a slight breeze but it was still semi nice out, personally it was way to warm but it was tolerable.

I realized I forgot my water at the house so I started walking towards the bathrooms where the vending machines were. Before I made it even one hundred feet a runner hit my shoulder and almost tripped. I turned to see if they were okay. "Are you okay?" I asked the runner who was bending down on with his hands on his knees.

He stood up and turned around. It was Kyle. "Yeah I'm okay just winded." He smiled and looked at me for a second, his eyes were more blue then I had originally realized. "You're Harmony right?"

I nodded. "In the flesh."

"What're you doing here?"

"Well I finished my run so I was headed to go get water." I felt around my pockets. "But I guess I'll just have to head home."

"No don't worry I'll get it. Mind if I walk with you?"

"Sure." To be honest I was excited about it. I needed as many friends I could acquire. 

"So Ohio?"

"Born and raised." I'm surprised he remembered.

"Why'd you move here?"

"My mom got promoted."

We walked up to the vending machines and Kyle bought me a bottle of water. "So what does your dad do?"

"Oh...He died in a train accident two years ago." I'm surprised he didn't ask what my mom does...did he already know? I took a big drink of the water.

"Whoa I'm so sorry!" He sounded shocked but then again most people are when they hear train accident, they're even more shocked if they find out he was decapitated in the accident.

"It was hard but we've healed for the most part." That was a total lie. 

He nodded and we walked for a while and stopped at the edge of the park. "Do you drive?" He must not know about the Porsche, thank god.

"Yeah but I ran here."

"Do you need a ride?"

I thought about it for a moment he had no idea how big my house is or how nice the cars in my four garages are. "No... Thank you I need the exercise anyways."

"Are you sure?"

I nodded and smiled a little bit. As much as I wanted a ride I really didn't want him to know who I am just yet.Unless he already knew.He walked the opposite direction towards his car and left with a wave.

The walk home was pleasant and quiet. Before my gates there's a neighborhood with houses smaller then mine but they're still big. My gates are tall and black metal, to get inside you have to use the intercom or the key sadly I forgot my key.

I pressed the button. "What's wrong Harmony? Are you locked out?" It sounded like Derek but I can't really tell anymore Brandon sounds just like him.
