Gabriel's house on the outskirts of Chicago.

"I told you to bring me the girl!" Gabriel furiously said throwing a chair into the wall behind Vincent.

"Sir the girl...I couldn't move her." Vincent stood next to Brandon Bayley tied up on a lead chair.

Gabriel slowly turned around. "What?" He spoke quietly.

"I grabbed her arm and tried to teleport but nothing happened it was like she was made of lead."

Gabriel was now pacing around the chair Brandon Bayley was strapped to. "That's why you brought her beloved brother...Beat the boy then send him back as a message I don't want to deal with him"

Bayley Residence.

Derek held me back as I tried to get out the door. "They took him, Derek, I can't lose him too!" I jerked my arm away "What do we do sit around?" I was infuriated.

"Harmony we don't even know where they went." He said still guarding the door. "Let's at least come up with a plan."

As much as I hated it he was right but my twin brother was the best part of my life and my instinct was to save him. Just as I was about to freak out again there was a thump at the door. Derek opened the door cautiously to find Brandon tied up, his nose was bleeding and his left eye was slightly swollen.

"Help me!" I screamed at Derek as I tried to get Brandon untied and back onto his feet.

We sat Brandon down on the couch and Derek went to get some ice and towels. When Derek returned Brandon finally spoke, "Gabriel has a message." he turned to Derek, "If you don't get Harmony to him he will kill me." Again Brandon threw up all over the marble floor. "Also I don't think I should go to school tomorrow."

"School? Seriously?" At this point, it was at least two in the morning and school was the last thing on my mind. "This guy wants to kill you and all you can think about is school?"

"Harmony, we can't do anything until," he took a breath and held onto his right ribcage, "until your power comes in. Go to bed and," he groaned in pain, "don't forget to pick up my school work."

I looked at Derek who nodded at me. I stormed upstairs and showered before going to bed at last around four in the morning.

7:30 a.m high school cafeteria.

Millicent was sitting at our usual table sipping on some orange juice and excessively highlighting a textbook page. "Oh hey, they just called you to the office."

Slightly confused and exhausted I thanked her and walked to the office holding my extra espresso macchiato.

The office lady was on the phone and there were anti-drug posters hung all over. When the phone call ended she turned to me. Her orange lipstick was smeared all over her top lip and her bleach blond hair was falling out of her clip in random spots and she was wearing an unevenly buttoned red blouse. This woman looked like she just walked out of a regrettable night. "Ah miss Bayley! We had a bit of a mix-up with your schedule and had to change it up a bit."

She handed me a paper with my schedule on it. The only difference was art second period instead of drama. "I signed up for drama why did they kick me out!"

"Honey I don't know I'm just the messenger." Just as she said this the principal walked by with a smear of orange lipstick across his chin.

"Mr Carter it looks like you've got a little breakfast left on your chin." I stormed out of the office and headed back to the cafeteria and slammed my schedule in front of Millicent. "Look at this! They took me out of drama for no reason."

She glanced at the paper for a moment. "On the bright side, I'm in that class!" This made me feel better-considering drama was my favorite class and it was taken from me.

Biology felt more awkward than usual because Kyle kept watching me and all I could think to do was glare. Apparently, my glare wasn't clear enough because when the bell rang he walked over to me. "Harmony I'm so sorry."

"Kyle I don't want to hear it!" I grabbed my backpack and started for the door.

"Please, I can explain."

I jerked around. "What then?"

"He threatened my life."

"Yeah? He threatened my twin whose excuse is less selfish?" I walked away before I did something stupid.

The art room had tall ceilings and small paintings all over the walls from past students. The desks were tall and there were sinks on the furthest wall. Millicent was sitting alone at a table so I joined her assuming the teacher already knew about this change. "So what are we doing?" I asked setting my stuff down.

"Were drawing the picture on the board." Said Millicent drawing the picture on the board which was a water lily.

The entire school day was spent worrying about Brandon and calling Derek to check up on Brandon who was apparently in bed all day. The school parking lot after school was an actual nightmare every day and today when I approached my car there were three guys standing next to it. "Can I help you?"

"Yeah, you can give me the keys." The tallest one with a tattoo on his shoulder said.

"In your dreams." I reached for the passenger side door.

The second guy with a varsity jacket slammed the door shut. "I suggest you do as he says. "

Just as the guys were trying to surround me a familiar voice behind me spoke. "Gentleman, leave the lady alone and return to your business." I turned around to see Vincent wearing his usual sunglasses and coat.

The guys ran off and I turned back to Vincent. "What do you want?"

"I want you to go to this address when your power comes about." He handed me a parchment of paper with a Chicago address on it and disappeared, something told me not to tell Derek about this

When I got home I checked on Brandon who was passed out on the couch so I let him be and went to my bedroom to change. My room was lightly lit by the sunshine coming through the cracks of the curtains on the balcony doors, the bathroom was bright as usual. Given how tired I was, I shut the bathroom door, wandered over to my bed, took off my pants and went to bed early.

3:45 A.M

The sound of my own voice awoken me from the deep sleep I didn't realize I was in, within the darkness around me I felt the warmth of another body. Without a second thought, I immediately assumed it was Brandon, he had nightmares about dad quite often and sometimes he ended up in my bed. "Hey, you okay?" I asked turning over.

The presence on the other side of the bed was not my brother but nothing about this person felt comforting. I turned on my bedside lamp and turned to see a guy around my age looking at my half naked body whilst moving closer to me. He had deep baby blue eyes, light brown hair, and freckles on his nose.  His body was fit and as he got closer to me I felt myself lay back down on the bed. He began kissing my neck and moving his left hand from my neck to my rib cage.  "Is this a dream?" I softly asked smiling as this strangely sexy mans' hand found his way to my thigh.

He pulled away. "If you're dreaming, how am I supposed to know?"His voice was almost soft yet strong.  He slowly got closer to my face; I wanted him to kiss me, I wanted his clothes off. I closed my eyes and went for a kiss but when I opened my eyes he was gone.

I shot out of bed and checked the bathroom, closet, and balcony for this guy but he was nowhere. I sat down on the edge of my bed thinking about whether or not I had been dreaming.
