Seraphine was mourning over Erik leaving her again. Not that she expressed that with anyone other than Alex. The two had grown unusually close and she called him her best friend. He helped her deal with Erik being gone and gave her something to be happy about.
Everyone knew she was sad but didn't want to bring up the subject in case it caused any unwanted tears. Even though Seraphine emphasises she doesn't cry, especially in front of people.
She distracted herself by helping Charles deal with coping without the use of his legs. She told him he didn't need legs to feel superior and powerful and that his mind was his best asset. It made her happy knowing her words impacted him in a good way. The two were both lonely after Erik left since Charles had lost both Erik and life long friend Raven. His main source of happiness and laughter was Seraphine. He of course noticed her lack of it but only tried making her laugh every now and then. It worked of course, Charles never failed to make a smile appear on her face.
That was until she decided to move away.
She told them all she needed time and a new beginning to start a new life perhaps. She told them she would visit but they doubted her.
She still wasn't happy. The hole in her heart was still missing and she couldn't fill it.
