Seraphine dazed up at the mansion in utter awe. "This place practically screams Charles Xavier. You have a beautiful home, Charles." He smiled at her in thanks. "This is yours?" Charles grinned at them "No, it's ours." Erik laughed "Honestly, Charles. I don't know how you survived, living in such hardship." He chuckled "Well, it was a hardship softened by me. Come on. Time for the tour."
Charles showed his team around his old home and Seraphine was in love with it.
Charles decided it was time to train all the mutants individually, he went off with Erik so Seraphine walked over to the gym as pre training. She pulled out her sports bra and leggings and changed into them, not caring whether someone walked in.
First she noticed the yoga mat and decided to do some squats to strengthen her legs when running. When her legs could do anymore she got down on the floor and did as many push-ups as she could.
She walked over to the punching bag and didn't bother to put on the gloves, later regretting that. She kept punching it until finally, the bag snapped off and flew off. Her eyes widened at her strength but shrugged and smiled at herself. Until she looked at her hands to find them bleeding and covered in bruises. She hissed in pain but simply jogged over to the small emergency box and bandaged up her hand.
Getting bored of the gym she decided to go for a run and explore the outside of the house. She plugged her headphones in and blasted out the music, blocking her from everything else.
She was mesmerised by the nature of the garden and stopped for a moment to take it all in. As she continued to run she saw a cement wall that was detailed beautifully and peered over at the view behind it. Seraphine jumped when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She twisted her head to find Erik standing behind her. She took out her headphones to hear him "Beautiful isn't it?" She nodded with a smile etched on her face. "My mother would of loved it here." She looked down at the cement wall and traced the pattern with her pointer finger, sighing. "So would mine."
"My mothers the main reason I'm still here, she always told me when she was gone that I would find other people to call my family... and I think she was right." Erik smiled at her confession. "And the other reason?" She smirked up at him "Well, that's a secret I'll never tell." He stepped closer to her "Secrets are meant to be shared." She laughed "No they're not, otherwise they wouldn't be called secrets. Why are you still here? There's gotta be a reason why you decided to stay." He sighed "Do you remember when we were 15, and we were discussing whether we thought other mutants existed?" She nodded smiling at the memory.
"Erik, do you think there's others like us?" He shrugged "I'm not sure, but if there is I will fight alongside them no matter what." She nodded in agreement. "With what war?" He furrowed his eyebrows "You said fight alongside them, but why fight? Surely you'd want peace with the humans." He shrugged "My people would come first, and I'd have you by my side of course."
"I'm scared Erik, what if Schmidt keeps us here forever?" He frowned "He won't, and if he does I'll find us a way out. There's only so much torturing he can do." She nodded looking down. "At least he lets us see each other everyday."
Seraphine frowned at the memory, he found a way out but left without her. "You were so determined to help the others if they existed." He nodded. "Why did you leave me?" He snapped his head up caught off guard. "Sorry I just-I can't stop wondering why. It doesn't matter anymore anyway." She lowered her head as she jogged away from him.
"Seraphine!" She turned her head to find Charles waving at her. She smiled and sauntered over to him. "Great you're in your training gear already, are you ready to start?" She nodded "Sure, I can already control my ability though. But I'm sure there's always something to improve." He nodded at her enthusiasm.
"How are you and Erik?" She furrowed her brows at him in question. "I know he left you long ago, but trust me it was for a good reason. I'll leave him to tell you." She frowned at the floor "He's much different now compared to then. But I think I prefer it, he's so set on mutants living freely." She changed the topic from Erik. "So what are we doing with my powers?" He noticed her attempt at changing the conversation but ignored it. "I want to see how well your accuracy is first, and then we'll go onto improving how much fire you can use." She nodded and the pair walked up to a metal door.
"My father built this room to survive a nuclear bomb. Have at it." He spoke gesturing to the different targets. She extended her right arm and Charles watched as bright orange fire flew straight out of her fist and onto the three mannequins one by one. She smirked as all three of them went up in flames. "Okay so you can target well. Can you change the size of the fire?" She shook her head "I've never tried." He grinned "I have faith in you Seraphine, calm your mind and have a go." She narrowed her eyes at him playfully. "Are you reading my mind, Charles?" He cheekily smiled "No, but I did enjoy your thoughts about Erik." Her eyes widened as she slapped his arm playfully. "What? He's hot!"
Her voice was cut off by Erik walking in. "Who's hot?" She smirked and pointed to him. "Although it's less hot, more sexy." She tilted her head smiling innocently at Charles as he rolled his eyes at her obvious flirting.
