Awkward!

"You don't like dark coffee do you?" Jack said.

"No it's just a little strong for me."

"If regular black coffee is strong for you then please try the coffee here. It's a lot different then regular coffee." He replied.

"Okay, I'll try it!" I said.

"Okay ready to order?" He asked me.

"Yeah." I said as I reached into my pocket for my money and pulled out a 20.

"No please don't pay." He pleaded. "This is my treat."

We had a small argument about who gets to pay. I insisted that I pay but he thought otherwise. I eventually gave up.

"Fine you win."

"Jackaboy always wins!" He exclaimed.

"What about Five Nights At Freddy's, you didn't even finish that." I said.

"Don't get cocky, or maybe I just wont buy you your food." He said sarcastically.

"Very funny Jack. Come on let's go get our food."

We stand up and walk to the counter.

"Two orders of the coffee oatmeal cookies and two cups of dark coffee, please." Jack said to the lady at the counter.

"Okay your order will be out shortly!" She said with a smile on her face.

"Thank you!" I said.

"Number 16 your order is ready!" Said the lady at the counter.

"I think that's us." I said.

We walk up to the counter.

"Two of the cookies and two cups of coffee for the couple." She said as I blushed.

I grab my food and sit at the table with my head down. I hope Jack doesn't see how red my face is.

"Well that was awkward." Jack said.

I look up and Jack had about the same expression on his face as I did.

"Yeah" I giggled. "I mean I guess it's not wrong of her to think that way. I guess most first dates do start in a coffee shop."

"Yeah." Jack said.
