Chapter 1 (Sarah)

I sat sobbing by the toilet in my bathroom. Nice sentence , huh? I looked repeatedly at the cursed pregnancy test, maybe if I looked hard enough it'll change. I did so for some time but I realized the inevitable. I am pregnant.

I suppose I should tell you what happened. First off, My name is Sarah Kelly. I am 17 and pregnant. My hair is a dark brown, green eyes if it matters. I live in North Carolina. And the father of my baby is actually my Best Friend.

Let me fill in the blanks. About a month ago,the father,My Best Friend, Ethan, was over at my house to study, My parents were out for the week, my brother was out with his dumb "Bros". It was just me and him. I remember how he looked, he had a green Super Mario Bros T-shirt on, gray jeans, and a red', white, and blue baseball cap that had Uncle Sam saying "If you don't vote, you can't complain." His light blue eyes glistened every time he said my name, like they always do.I smiled.  I had a crush on him for about 4 years or so.  As if id tell him.I thought it was cute how he combed his blonde hair with his fingers every minute. Ironically, we were studying the human emotions, so he said the word 'love' a lot so I blushed a lot.

He noticed my facial expressions, and asked me "Are you OK? Your lips' twitching again." Ever since I was a little girl, my lips always twitched when I was nervous, and he knew it. "I'm fine," I assured him. I turned on some Foreigner, it was awkward when the song 'I wanna know what love is,' came on, like it always is when a love song came on. He blushed a little and I saw his dimples. Why are dimples so cute? They are only things on your face! Yet they added to his charm.

"Sarah? Sarah Irene Kelly! Are you listening to me?" He yelled jokingly. My eyes snapped over to him. "Totally," He gave me an 'I don't think so' look. ''What'd I just say?" How dare he ask me that! ''Science and crap,'' was my answer. He chuckled. "Wrong again.. Ha I said that we've been friends for like.. ever.. Do you think we could go out?"

"I dunno.."

"Just thinking out loud, my parent probably wouldn't approve.'' Yeah, no kidding there, his parents are crazy about animals, dogs especially. I went to his house for lunch one time, and his house smelled like dog treats and old meat. Not to mention his parents don't really like me. Probably because I'm a cat person. "Heh, yeah, how about we try it out and see how we like it?" I said casually. he nodded "Sounds like a plan, but Sarah?" I smirked "Yeah?" He grabbed the collar of my shirt and pulled me to his lips. My heart fluttered like a butterfly. I leaned forward out of my cross-legged position.

"Been wanting to do that for 4 years." he said when he stopped, I thought he read my mind. I smiled "Really? Cool!" he shook his head.

" So..." We both said as if we'd practiced it for weeks. We tried to study a bit before tomorrow, but we couldn't stop laughing. At midnight he said "I better go." I sighed ''yeah..'' When I said that he scooped me up, stroking my hair, he takes me to my room and sets me down on the bed.

He kissed me softly, "Bye." He headed out "Wait!" I shouted, "You can't just set me down like tha-at." I made the word "that'' sound like it had three words all together. "I don't want to hurt you." He said sadly. That's the time I dragged him on to my bed. "I'm serious Sarah." He plead. "Don't worry, Ethan, I'll be fine." I assured him, and that boy perked up quickly.

About 4 hours later, he had to leave. He put on his wrinkled Mario shirt, and pants, but he put the Uncle Sam hat on my head, kissed my cheek, then exited the door with a quick "See ya at school, Sarah." I flopped down on my pillow thinking about the night I just had, how great it was. I slowly fell asleep there, in the nude.

The next few days were fine, Ethan treated me like his girlfriend instead his best friend. In a way I missed us being just friends, but that went away when he kissed me passionately the day after. My life was complete. A family that loved me (except for my brother, Charlie, I think he's adopted) An awesome boyfriend, and my other best friend, Carrie, saying "Aww your soo lucky!!!" What could possibly go wrong?

Then about a week after me and Ethan hooked up, Me, Carrie, and Ethan thought we'd get some sushi, because sushi is awesome. We stepped inside and grabbed whatever we wanted. But the thought of sushi made me gag suddenly. So I gave Carrie my sushi and went to the bathroom.

I stared at myself in the mirror, I didn't look bad, except my ponytail was crooked so I fixed it. I looked at the tiny toilet, I felt sick instantly. I ran to the toilets and puked

This wasn't like me, I grabbed my stomach and asked myself "What's happening to me?" I stayed in there until I heard Carrie say "Get out of there! I know your in there!" I hurried out of the bathroom "Are you OK, Sarah?" Carrie asked. "I'm fine!" I answered. She shook her head "You have stuff on your lips." I felt my lips, sure enough there was barf on them."Oh, Sarah." She said. Besides Ethan, She's my best friend, We got tattoos of pandas with each others name on them. My panda is her favorite color, pink. And her panda is my favorite color, dark blue.

She's prettier than me, heck, she's prettier than anyone I know. With her hourglass figure, perfect tan, long, curly, blonde hair, baby blue eyes, and perfect sense of style, she could have any boy howling at her fingertips. --She hugged me and whispered "I'm coming over tonight, I have a pregnancy test." I whispered "I ain't pregnant!" She grabbed my hand and we went to the table. My brother works at the Chinese restaurant so he was talking to Ethan. Carrie sighed when she saw him, he was known to give her a hard time so that made sense. "Hello, Big Hips and Big Lips." Said Shaun. Ethan grinned like him and Shaun were old pals. I gave him the evil eye, and he stopped instantly. An angry chef yelled "Boy! You back in here!" Shaun took a bow, "Good bye my dear," He kissed Carrie then left.

I looked at her, but she avoided my eyes. She ate her sushi quietly and so did I, no matter how nauseating it was. Ethan broke the silence when he said "I better go," Me and Carrie nodded, he kissed my cheek, he waved to Carrie, and left.

Me and Carrie weren't real hungry so we paid then left. In the car we started talking.

"What was that with you and Shaun?" I asked her

"Its complicated, I'll tell you later. Right now we need to see if your pregnant." Was my answer. I was gonna say "I ain't pregnant." but before I could she said "I wanna still see." I crossed my arms and she turned on Nickelback, her favorite band.

We got to my house and my mom and dad were on date night, but Shaun was there, and he was shirtles because he'd been working out. He had sweat drizzling down all over his body, and he stunk,

"Well if it isn't Little Miss Sarah." He said I glared at him. He mouthed at Carrie "Does she know?" Only to get the answer "No." Carrie looked at me "What?" I shook my head, Shaun said ''Dear Sister, we-" He grabbed Carrie's waist, "-need to tell you something.'' She blushed a little. "Me and Shaun are dating." She practically spit out. I gagged. She looked at me like I killed her family, so I said "I'm happy for you, I thought Shaun would never get a girlfriend." Carrie gave me a relieved look. She unraveled herself from Shaun's arms and hugged me. He smiled and said "Good, now I can make out with her in public!" then grabbed her and kissed her. "Um, Carrie, don't we have some business to take care of?" She nodded and kissed Shaun.

She took me into the bathroom, basically I had to pee in a cup and stick a white stick in it, if it turned blue, I was pregnant, if not, yippee! I did what needed to be done and followed all the instructions.

Carrie came in when we were about to see it. I held my breath, she crossed her fingers, and then I looked. It was blue.

And here I am, sobbing, listening to Carrie trying to make me feel better. "At least Ethan loves you.." Did he love me? Will he love me after I tell him? All I know is that I'm pregnant, I'm 17, and my name is Sarah Kelly.

First chapter<3 I have good intentions for this book, its my first book so sorry if my facts aren't right, I've never been pregnant, thank God. The next chapter will be set in Ethan's point of view (POV) when he finds out she's pregnant. Thanks for reading!
