"Mom.. we really need to talk..." I bursted,

She petted my hair, "OK, hunny, we've got time."

My dad plopped on the brown recliner and stared at me with full attention

My mom sat on her green wooden rocking chair, the one I used to play in when I was a baby.

"Ethan! Come here!" Carrie shouted.

Ethan sleepily plopped on the seat of the couch next to me, gave me a peck on the cheek, and realized my parents were in the room. "Crap," he said without thinking.

I gave him a nasty stare.

"Well mom, I need to say... umm, Ethan wants to talk." I said slipping off the heels I wore to greet Ethan earlier..

He gave me a nasty stare.

But just as he opened his mouth, my mom gasped.

"Oh, goodness, goodness gracious. Bill, She's pregnant!" she wailed.

I spoke up, "No, well yes, well maybe." I said to calm her down. My dad said nothing, But he had a sad face.

"Maybe? Maybe?  Oh, hunny, this is wonderful!"

OK, even I was shocked, not more than my dad though. When they married, they were insuperable. They were young, in love. But this time, I think they weren't thinking about the same thing.

"Whaaaaa???!?" Dad and Ethan said at the same time.

"This is wonderful for my career, sweetie." She smiled at me and hugged me.

"Your career?" Carrie asked.

Over the years, my mom, Francine Layla Heinz, worked so hard to be a professional actress. And she tried EVERYTHING. She even asked People magazine to take pictures at her wedding,

"Yes! I'm gonna be a Gramama! This is good stuff!" She kissed Ethan on the cheek, kissed my lips, shook Carrie's hand, then left.

My dad smiled, then left.

"OK Ethan, your turn." I laughed.

"Yeah, but go put on other clothes girl, "  said Ethan.

I looked down and saw I was still wearing that dress, I nodded then went to my room, and changed.

(Ethan's POV)

Her parents took the news great! This will be great I hope.

Five minutes later, Sarah came out wearing a blue tank top, white skinny jeans, and matching flip-flops. Her beautiful long dark hair was in a french braid.

Next to me was Carrie, far more pretty than Sarah.. but I didn't like her that was anyway, there was something about her that was making me feel weird around her.

Besides she was taken. Waaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy taken.

I was amazed at Sarah, she didn't look pregnant just yet, she looked like a teenager that just got beaten the shit out of.

Then an idea struck me, my parents are gonna think I got her knocked up on purpose. Ha, this is gonna be a great evening.

"Let's go, my mom's in the back planning baby names, ha, I ain't gonna break the news to her yet." Sarah said with a tired grin.

I grabbed her and Carrie's hands and yanked them to my car, a silver '96 Chevy Impala that has served its use more than once.

"Ethan, when Jay is born, you need a new car." Carrie said carelessly.

"Jay?" I asked

"Yup, Joseph (Jay) Michael Kelly." Carrie sang

"Kelly?"

"OK Rogers." she laughed "But JJMK sounds better than JJMR."

I looked back and spit on her hand, with her shrieking with happiness... or whatever that 'Squee' sound was.

Suddenly, Her eyes grew wide, and she screamed.

I turned around and saw, a truck, we were I. the wrong lane.

Last thing I remember, Sarah was smashed into the windshield, then I blacked out.
