The ringing in my ears was so loud that i hardly heard Hawk and Bucky call for me. The rain was pouring down in dark, sharp streaks, making it difficult to see. Hawk was standing on the top rung of the ladder, and Bucky was kneeling in front of him. Bucky turned to look at me, and i watched as his eyes got wide. "Whats wrong?" i asked. Then i felt the warmth hit the back of my neck. I whirled around, to see two tall, slender figures, made completely out of fire. "Dad?.. Caroline?" i whispered. "RUN. NOW!" I screamed at Bucky and Hawk.

I felt a searing hot hand grab me by the shoulders and lift me off the ground.
"You thought you could kill me!" Screamed Carolines fifteen foot fire twin. Her long fingers wrapped around my body, like hot pokers. I screamed in pain, feeling the burning heat against my chest and stomach. She lifted me up above her head. "This is the end of you.." she screamed. She let me go.

The last thing i remembered was my body hitting the ground.

"I'm with you to the end of the line."
- Buckys POV -

She had been out for almost two weeks now. When she wakes up, she's gonna be so upset. She'll have to learn like i did, but it'll be easier since i can help her. She looks so peaceful. God, i love her.

- Hawks POV -

It's been hard just watching him piece her together. Her left arm was totally destroyed by the fire. No functionality left. When he finally takes her off the sleeping shit, she's gonna be so mad. I wonder how much she felt. The thought of her feeling the searing pain of the fire breaks my heart.. i wish this hadn't have happened.

There was a sharp pain in my right arm when i finally opened my eyes. I tried to sit up, but i couldn't. something was holding me back. I let my head fall onto my shoulder, but immediately jerked it back. My shoulder was... ice cold. looking down, i was hit in the face with a bright gleam of gold.

My left arm was made completely out of gold. From my fingertips to the side of my neck, my left arm was solid gold. "What the hell did you do to me?!" i growled.

Hawk and Bucky proceeded to tell me how what was now metal was horribly burned, with no way of fixing or helping the damaged skin and tissue. after some explaining and help, Bucky tried to calm my nerves about it.

"Once, i was trying to kill this dude, right? And he was walking through LAX, right? So.. i walked through a metal detector and it went off. and i was like CMON MAN ITS MY ARM!"

"i had him customize your arm to make it better equipped to perform archery. i figured you wanted that.." Hawk said gently. i smiled at him softly.

i held my new arm up in front of my face. they were both staring at me, looking rather scared. i watched as Bucky slid his long metal fingers between mine. the contrast between his silver and my gold was beautiful. "Oh! and, i made this for you.." Hawk spoke up. he walked to a corner and walked back with a long black bag. it was made out of velvet, and was heavy. i slid my fingers into the loop on top, and pulled out a golden bow. twenty gold arrows followed it.
