I gasped for air.

"Well, welcome back." i heard a low voice say. Tony was there, standing beside me, holding a can of beer. "Oh great, it's you." i whispered as i brought
my hand to my forehead. I heard him chuckle and walk away from the bed i was laying in. "Hey Steve? Shes awake. Yes i'm serious. See i told you i could help!"

The door slammed open, and through it came Steve. He walked silently to the side of my bed and grabbed my hand, intertwining our fingers. "How are you feeling?" he asked, as he brought my hand up to his lips. "Oh i'm doing just fantastic, how about yourself?" i joked.

"Almost died and her sense of humor is still at everyone's throats.." Tony said. I scoffed and closed my eyes. All i could feel was Steves lips pressed against the back of my hand and his breath against my fingers. "Thor wants to talk to you, when you feel up to it." he said, his lips rubbing against my hand gently.

"Send him in then.." i said quietly. I didn't bother to open my eyes, but i felt his presence leave. Within seconds, it was replaced by a different one. I turned my head, but i wasn't prepared for what i saw. Starting at his neck, thin, purple lines of bruises  ran down his shoulders and arms. "What the hell is that?" i asked. "My lightning took its toll on us."
"US?" i screamed at him as i threw off the covers.

I had the same deep purple marks all over my body. I pressed the cold metal of my arm down onto my leg and pulled it back away, hoping that they would just fade away. "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO ME?" I screamed as i lunged at him. He immediately pushed my shoulders down, pressing me back down onto the bed.

I was trembling with anger. Before i knew it, i was holding the IV that was in my arm in my hand. Blood was pouring out of my arm like water out of a hose. "God damn it Grace. Why do you always have to ruin yourself."
