A few weeks later, Harry Potter slowly opened his eyes and looked around the now familiar room that he slept in while living with the Grangers, Hermione's family. Harry knew that today was the day he would have to go to the Burrow and face the Weasley family for the first time since Ron had been killed by Lucius Malfoy. Harry sighed to himself, remembering that dreaded moment when Rons lifeless body fell and Harry knew that he had just lost his best friend. The feeling of pain was unimaginable and was eating Harry Potter from the inside out. Harry had chosen to keep to himself most of time only speaking if spoken to and even then he would try to use as few words as possible. The only time he had let out his emotions since his almost deadly encounter with Draco Malfoy in Diagon Alley was a brief moment when he found Hermione crying in her room and he did as much as he possibly could to comfort her. Harry decided not to think about these things anymore and he crawled out of bed, retrieving his glasses from his bedside table and putting them on. Harry then got dressed, trying to look formal for the Weasleys. Harry knew that he would have to stay at the Burrow for at least a week so he started to pack a bag. He packed his clothes for Rons funeral, his tootbrush, invisibility cloak, Marauders Map and some other clothes and magical items that he may need. After he finished packing, he dragged himself and his bag downstairs to find that Hermione was already dressed and waiting for him at the door.
"Oh Harry!" She said when she saw him "Mrs Weasley has arranged for our fireplace to be connected to the Floo Network so that we can get to and from the Burrow with ease" Hermione explained at about fifty miles an hour like she always did when she recited a fact from a book that she had read. Harry just nodded and mumbled the word "Okay" in response.
Hermione waited for a longer response but when she did not recieve one, she took out a small bag, about the size of the palm of her hand, filled with a sort of dust that Harry recognized to be Floo Powder.
"Whenever you're ready, Harry" Hermione said, holding the bag out towards him. Harry inched toward Hermione and took a handful of Floo Powder. Harry then slowly walked towards the fireplace at the end of the Grangers living room. Stepping into it Harry held the dust high, gathered up his courage and spoke the words "The Burrow" as clearly as he could as he threw the Floo Powder to the floor. He was almost instantly engulfed in green flames, the view of Hermione and her living room disappearing. As Harry felt himself being thrown around, finding the Burrow, he remembered his first time doing this with... Ron. Pushing the memory aside, Harry landed in the fireplace of the Burrow. All of Ron's siblings and Ron's parents standing around the fireplace. They were clearly waiting for his arrival. "Hey" Harry mumbled before stepping out of the Fireplace. Harry looked at all of them. Ginny's once beautiful eyes were now red from crying, the impish grins of Fred and George were replaced with sad looks, Percy who would usually never shut up, was completely silent, though he didn't look as destroyed as the rest of his family. Another redhead with scorched, built arms whom Harry recognized to be Ron's brother Charlie, was also red from crying. There was a long haired redhead standing next to Charlie with an earring of a dragon claw. Harry assumed that this was Ron's oldest brother Bill Weasley. Bill looked angry as well as sad unlike the rest of his siblings who were in a state of complete and utter despair (except for Percy who seemed almost completely unaffected). Mr Weasley was bearing a brave smile although Harry could see the sadness in Arthur's eyes. Mrs Weasley was by far the worst of them all. She was still silently sobbing, her face and eyes completely red and her hair a mess. She turned away from Harry as he looked at her, probably trying to hide herself. After what seemed like an eternity passed, Hermione finally walked out of the green flames of the Floo Network, putting on a sad smile. "Hi everyone" she said. Harry knew that this was going to be a long week...
