Percy tied his shoes as he thought about where he had last placed his blue and black backpack. It had all his books and homework in it. Plus an extra charger for his phone since it ran out of battery pretty quickly. He had damaged the battery by charging it when it wasn't completely dead so the battery was all like. Well, your life's terrible anyways. why don't I make it harder for you?

Percy sighed and wiped his forehead even though there was no sweat there. Just instinct I guess. Percy stood and grabbed his backpack which was under his bed reminding him that he had only finished half of last week's homework. He looked at his backpack on disgust knowing he'd have to work on his homework on the way there. Which meant his writing would be a mess. His writing was a mess anyways, but in a moving vehicle it was ten times worse.

"Percy! The bus is here!" Percy sighed hearing his Mom call. "Get your butt downstairs! You didn't even eat breakfast!"

Percy knew his Mom wanted him now, she never talked that way unless sit was urgent. and when Percy hadn't woken up earlier enough to eat breakfast that she had spent time making it ticked her off. Percy knew that, he was just so dang tired.

"Coming!" Percy grabbed his blue jacket and rushed down the stairs tripping over an item of clothing her forgotten to pick up making him fly forward a light scream escaping him mouth as he fell the rest of the way down the stairs making several tumbling sounds.

"Percy!?" Sally exclaimed and Percy groaned his face against the carpet that he had stained when he was a child.  He lifted himself up by his hands slowly muttering a "I'm fine." Biggest lie he ever told. And the lie he told the most. To everyone.

Percy walked to the kitchen where his Mom asked him what that sound was. "I-it was nothing...." Percy trailed off as she gave him a zip-lock bag with a few blue pancakes in it for his breakfast. The pancakes were still warm Percy could tell from touch and that they were making the inside of the bag steamy.

"I.. just kinda fell down the stairs." Percy whispered and Sally's eyes widened Percy wanting to smack himself for saying it so loud.

"WHAT!?" She exclaimed as Percy threw the bag of pancakes in his backpack and ran towards the door. "Bye Mom! See you tonight!" "Perseus Jackson you be more carefu-"

Percy slammed the door and ran down the sidewalk just as the bus began driving away. "No, no, no, no, no, no!" Percy sprinted toward the bus as it drove on Percy yelling and waving his arms for the bus to stop. Sure he might've looked like an idiot but it was better than walking to school. Plus he had no one he was trying to impress. Everyone at school hated him anyways.

The bus slowed and Percy smiled a bit before the doors opened and he jumped onto the bus a sweaty and panting mess. Sure, he swam but running still wasn't his forte.

Percy walked to the back of the bus making sure to watch out for stray legs that he might trip on and embarrass himself even more than he was. Thankfully though Octavian wasn't on the bus so Percy didn't have to worry about it.

Percy sighed and sat by himself in the back grabbing his homework and scribbling down some quick answers hoping they were somewhat right.

Percy waited outside of the school checking the time on his phone as he fidgeted waiting for the two ladies. If they didn't come soon he'd be late for his first class and so would they. Percy looked down at the text Will sent him earlier on the bus to wait for them outside the entrance of the school. Here Percy was, but where were they? Nowhere to be seen. Making Percy look like even more of a worse student than he wa-

Percy turned and the intoxicating air of New York was taken out of his lungs.

Percy inspected Annabeth from head to toe admiring the work Will had done. Let's just say Annabeth was a sight for sore eyes, and with Percy's school? His eyes were basically aching. Annabeth was wearing sneakers with her new skinny jeans, she had on a peach colored flowy crop-top with a white tank top under it to cover up her stomach which Percy understood because of the cool weather and modesty.. But gosh he wanted to see her bare skin and- Annabeth's hair was left down and curly two braids starting from her forehead and going to the back of her head and connecting with a peach colored flower clip topping off the whole look. Will had done a heck of a job.
