Chapter 4 - Josh?

"Hello, I'm Officer Daisy, is Josh Bradly here please?"

A tall white guy had opened the door. He had blondish/brown hair and looked cute. He went to go get Josh i assumed and had let Officer Daisy in. Half an hour later, Officer Daisy came back out.

"Danielle, you ready? I spoke to Josh and explained what happened. He seemed very understanding and is excited to meet you. Although, before you go in, there are three other guys who live there. The boy who opened the door is Simon, a small Asian boy called Vikk and another guy called JJ. However, they did all agree you could live there after hearing what happened with your mum and earlier on."
"Oh, okay then. Well, I guess it's time." I smiled

I stepped out of the car and into the house. It was huge, like, probably the biggest house I've ever walked into. Officer Daisy walked into the room on the right first.

"Josh, this is Danielle. Danielle, I'd like you to meet your brother Josh."

I walked into the room to find two eyes staring at me.

"Danielle?"
"Josh?"

We walked towards each other and he embraced me in a hug. I've never hugged anyone before really other than my mom. He was tall and white. He had dark hair like me and a beard which looked cool.

"Come, sit down. Officer Daisy explained everything that happened with your mum and then with dad. I'm so sorry. About it all."
"Don't worry about it, moms been gone for a few months now. Sure it's hard but it's getting easier. And David, lets just say I don't ever want to see him again. He's an asshole."
"Look, what he said was horrible but at the end of the day, he's my dad still, he's your dad, he's our dad Danielle. You're not a mistake okay, you seem like such a nice girl and I'm glad i get to finally meet you. Yes i'm angry because they never told me about you, but I'm glad you're here. Oh, and you can stay here for as long as you want. From this day on, you're my little sister, and I will be here to look after you." He smiled
"Thank you Josh. I'll be here for you too." I smiled

We hugged again and Officer Daisy walked over to us.

"Well Danielle, I'm glad to see you and your brother getting on. I think Officers James and Rachel are leaving tomorrow. I'll tell them to stop by so you can say your goodbyes and everything. Also, here's my number. If you ever need me, contact me."
"Thank you so much for all of this. You guys have helped so much." I said hugging her
"It's no problem, now lets get you stuff in so Josh can help you settle in and I need to get going."
"Okay then."

Josh and I grabbed the bags I had from the car and bought them into the house. He took me up the stairs, helping me carry my stuff and showed me into a room which he said could be mine. It was at the very top of the stairs, opposite another room.

"Well Danielle, this is the spare room. Obviously there's only a bed in here. But tomorrow we can go shopping, we can get you a wardrobe and some drawers or whatever and we can make this place start to feel more like home. Do you want to settle in or do you want to meet the other guys?" He asked
"Uhm, I guess meet the other guys." I smiled
"Alright then, also, the room opposite yours belongs to Simon." Josh smiled

We walked back downstairs and Josh knocked on the door. An Asian guy answered, this must be Vikk, im guessing.

"Hey Vikk, I'd like you to meet my little sister Danielle. Danielle, this is Vikk."
"Hey Danielle, nice to meet you."
"Hey, yeah, nice to meet you too."
"She's gonna be living with us for a while okay, just so you know."
"Ahh sweet, well if you need any help or anything, let me know." He smiled
"Thanks Vikk." I smiled back as he closed his door.
"He seems nice."
"Yeah, he's a nice guy." Josh said

We walked down the hallway to Josh's room.

"This is my room if you need me. There's not much in there to be honest. Shall we go and meet JJ?"
"Nice and yeah, sure."

We walked to the room opposite Josh's and he knocked.
"Hey Josh, woah, who's this?" He asked
"JJ, this is my little sister Danielle. She's going to be staying here for a while okay, so be nice to her."
"Wait what? You have a sister?"
"Apparently so, and here she is, so be nice"
"Well, hey Danielle, I'm JJ."
"Hello" I smiled
"Well, it was nice to meet you, I'm gonna get back to playing Overwatch."
"That's cool, well Bye JJ."
"Bye Danielle, Josh." He said closing the door.

"Well JJ was a lot more toned down than usual." Josh laughed
"Do I dare ask?"
"He's just, he's very loud. Be warned!"
"Oh god, okay." I laughed

Josh started to walk back up the stairs towards my room. He knocked on the door opposite and the tall white guy who opened the front door earlier opened it. I'm assuming this has to be Simon.

"Hey Si, this is Danielle, she's my little sister and she's gonna be staying with us for a while, okay? She's in the room opposite so i'm counting on you to check on her and be sociable with her." Josh said
"Oh cool, well Hi Dani, I'm Simon."
"Danielle?"
"Is she okay?" Simon asked
"Yeah sorry, I just haven't heard that name in a while."
"Oh sorry."
"No, don't be, its okay. It was just a little shock, my mom used to call me Dani all the time and since she's been gone, nobody else has called me it." I looked down tearing up. Simon embraced me in a hug.
"Sorry Danielle, I didn't mean to upset you, I just though it'd be nice to give you a nickname, make you fell more at home. I can think of a different one if you want?" Simon said letting go.
"No, it's okay. You can call me Dani. I don't mind." I smiled
"You sure?" He asked
"Yeah, it's fine."
"Anyway, I'm gonna go back to my room because i need to record. You gonna be okay Danielle?" Josh asked
"Oh yeah, I'll be okay." I said
"Don't worry Josh, I'm free for a bit, I'll keep her company."
"Thanks Simon" Josh smiled and walked away to his room.

Simon walked into his room so I followed.

"Well Dani, this is my room."
"It's nice, do you record stuff over there?" I asked
"Yeah, we're all youtubers." He said
"Oh, you are? What do you upload?" I asked
"Mainly game play, football videos, sometimes vlogs. Why?"
"I was a youtuber as well. I'd upload three times a week but things went downhill so i had to stop. I told the fans about my mom and moving and they understood. I said I'd upload as soon as I could." I said
"Oh sick, what do you do?" He asked
"Oh uhm, mainly covers or my own songs, gameplay and sometimes vlogs." I said
"So you sing?" He asked
"Yeah.."
"That's really cool. We should collab at some point."
"Yeah, that'll be cool. Anyway, uhm, do you have any food here? I haven't eaten since breakfast this morning at 8:30 and it's like 2pm."
"Sure, lets go get some food."

I followed Simon down the stairs and into the kitchen. He found a pizza in the freezer so cooked it for us to share.

"Come on Dani, we can go upstairs and eat it. I want to learn more about Josh's little sister." He smiled

He carried the pizza to his room and we sat in the chairs at his desk. As we ate the pizza, i showed him my channel and he subbed to it and watched a few videos.

"Thats my mom..."
"What?" Simon asked confused
"My vlog from my 21st birthday. My mom took me out for the day and i vlogged it all." I said
"You look a lot like her you know. The long dark hair, the green eyes, the ivory skin. You're just as, if not more beautiful than her." He smiled
I blushed looking down at the floor. I could tell Simon noticed me blushing and I could see him out of the corner of my eye smiling.
"Thank you. You're not too bad yourself you know, I bet you have loads of girls chucking themselves at you." I said
"Well, there's the fans but most of them are teenagers so it doesn't really work.I've had girlfriends before, but they've either used me for money or cheated on me."
"Oh Simon, sorry to hear that. You can do way better than all of those girls you just have to wait for the right one. If it means anything or makes you feel better, im 23 and ive never had a boyfriend. Ive never kissed anyone or had sex with anyone." I laughed
"Really? How? You're so beautiful and kind."
"I just never really had the time. I was always working and looking after my mom. Coming here is like a fresh start for me." I said
"Well, here's to fresh starts!" Simon said, hitting our slices of pizza's together as if they were glasses.
"To fresh starts." I giggled
"Anyway, i'm done recording for the day, we can chill if you want and watch some movies or I can help you with unpacking or anything." He asked
"I think movies is good, just nothing horror related."
"Why?" He laughed
"Because i will literally hide under your covers with my face in your chest and then I wont be able to sleep at all." I laughed
"Okay fine, no horrors."
"Yay! Thanks Simon." I smiled
