Chapter 1

Chapter 1:
Abbie's POV

Kee-Kee, Jennie, and I stare at our broken truck on the side of the road in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I run my hand through my greasy blonde hair. A car rolls past us as I put on my black leather jacket.

"well what the hell are we gonna do now?" Jennie asks.

"get in the truck." I say quickly looking back at the red car coming back towards us.

They give me a weird look.

The red mustang stops in front of our truck and four boys get out. They look like how the popular boys did in Colorado; uptight, stupid, but at the same time, like they were going to skin us alive...

They look at our hair, greasy and gross.

"You dumbass greasers. What are ya' doin' here all alone?" One of them asks pulling out a blade.

I chuckle. "I don't know what the hell your talkin about but I ain't lookin' for trouble" I say patting his shoulder.

He grabs my hand and drags the blade across my hand. I cry out in agonizing pain as the red liquid covers my hand.

Kee-Kee punches a blonde boy in the eye and knees him in his not so great place.

Three boys walk down the dirt road, towards us. All with dark, long, and greasy hair.

I tear off a piece of my white t-shirt and wrap my hand with it, to stop some of the bleeding.

The three boys walk up to us and the four boys.

"Well maybe these boys will have some common sense! There ain't no greasers in this town, is there?" Jennie yells.

The shortest one answers quietly "We're greasers..."

I let a groan of pain and look at my blood covered cloth.

"The heck happened there" the tallest one asks looking at my hand.

"Dodo over here thought I was what you call a 'greaser' and cut my hand" I say glaring at Dodo.

"Well listen here you little ass, I can do much better than that." Dodo says shoving the blade at my stomach.

"Stop that, let her go." One of them says.

Dodo rolls his eyes. "Whatever, I'll be back and she'll be sorry. All of you will." He says with all of them jumping into the car and driving off.

"I'm Johnny, this is Dally, and Pony" the quiet one says.

"Hey, you alright? You're bleedin' real bad..." Pony says.

"yea I guess. It just hurts." I say climbing into my truck to try to see if it will work. Nope.

"uh. I guess we could take you to our house until you find a place to stay." Pony says.

"er... You sure?" Kee-Kee asks.

"I'm sure his ole' brother won't mind it" Dally says.

"um. Ok then..." Jennie says unsure of herself.

"lets go." Johnny says.

We walk down to Dairy Queen and all get sodas. Jennie, Kee-Kee, and Johnny get sprites and Dally, Pony and I get Cokes.

After we all finish our sodas, we go to Pony's house.

"Pony, where the hell have you been?" Another boy asks.

"These socs were picking on these girls. We had to help them, Dally." Pony says to him.

He glances at me "What are they doing here?" He asks.

"Their truck broke down and they don't have a place to stay. So I was wondering if they could stay here until they found a place." Pony says rolling his eyes.

"Y-you don't have to though..." Jennie stutters.

"They can stay with us but you are making dinner tonight, Pony." He says.

"This is Keisha, but she prefers Kee-Kee, that's Abigail, she prefers Abbie, and I'm Jennifer, I prefer Jennie." Jennie says blushing as Dally whispers something into her ear.

"I'm Darry, this is Soda, Steve, and Two-bit." Darry says glaring at Dally.

"Do you want to go see a movie after dinner?" Pony and Johnny ask Keisha and I.

"Uh. Sure, why not!" Kee and I say, smiling.

Darry stitches up my hand, even though it hurt like hell, I didn't shed a tear.

After Johnny and Pony leave for a walk, Kee-Kee and I take showers and do our hair. I put on a flannel shirt with blue jeans. Then, I put on lip gloss and my brown heel cowboy boots. Kee-Kee puts her long brown hair into a a side braid. She wears a blue pair of jeans and an Elvis T-shirt. Then she puts on black flats. We both grab our purses and head down stairs.

After we eat, Pony and Johnny take us to the drive in. We climb through a gap in the fence and sit in the chairs at the back.

"What kind of movie is it?" I ask Johnny, because Pony and Kee-Kee went to get snacks.

"Er.. I think Pony said it was horror." Johnny says.

"oh." Is all I say.

Once Pony and Kee-Kee come back, the movie starts. Every time I think something is going to pop out I hide my face behind Pony's back. At the end of the movie, Pony chuckles at ny reaction to every scary part.

"My brave little princess." He says putting his arm around me on the way back to his house.

Princess. I like the sound of that.

PONY'S POV

The way she hid her head behind my back made Abby even more adorable. And her flawless face, and body at that. Her hair too, her blue highlights brought out the brightest blue flakes in her eyes.

"That was one if the most amazing dates I've ever had." I say smiling.

"yea, Pony. That was great."

There was a soft knock on my door. "Come in!" I say loudly enough so whoever is at the door could here me, but loud enough so I don't wake up any one else.

"Er.. I can't sleep Pony..." Abbie says quietly.

"I better go. See y'all tomorrow." Johnny says.

"Johnny? I know that Kee-Kee is having trouble sleeping..." Abbie says smiling a bit.

"Alrighty then. Bye..." He says.

I pull Abbie into my arms once Johnny leaves. "And why would my little brave princess be having trouble sleeping?" I ask her.

She giggles "I dunno..."

"You can sleep by me tonight, ok? I can keep you safe from all the monsters..." I say teasing her.

She bites her lip. "Well, I suppose that's acceptable..."

I pull her down into my bed and pull my blankets over us. Then, I pull her closer to me and put my arm around her waist.

I wait until I hear her breathing become heavier. I kiss her cheek and let sleep overcome me too.

ABBIE'S POV

As I wake up the memories of last night flood my mind. I sigh and smile.

"Morning, beautiful." Pony's scruffy voice says to me.

"morning" I say smiling at him.

I un-published every chapter sorry... I'm correcting everything thing wrong with it and combing chapters to make them longer.... Um sorry I wrote this like 4 years ago so sorry this is all drama and stuff ;-;
