Abbie's POV
"A-Abbie... There's some one at the door for you.." Kee-Kee stutters opening the door to Pony's room.
I pull Pony up with me and squeeze his hand out of fear.
I walk out into the living room and see my dad.
"Abigail Lacy Brett! You go get in the car right now. We need to go home. Now." He snaps.
"Dad, I am home. Your home is new York. Mine is here with my boyfriend and friends. it's Kee-Kee's home too. With her boyfriend and her friends. Jennie, you could take her home though." I say watching his eyes soften.
My Mom comes in. "Abigail, get in the car." She snaps.
"No." I say crossing my arms.
"Why not?" She asks.
"I want to stay here." I say.
"Why though?" My dad asks.
I take him out on the porch and hug him crying into his chest.
"Daddy, don't make me go" I sob.
He rubs my back and pulls out his credit card and hands it to me. "Buy a house for you and Keisha. Buy new clothes and food. Send letters every week, and come home whenever you need to. I love you, Abigail." My dad says.
"Oh Daddy, I love you" I say hugging him tight.
"Susan, lets go" my dad yells. My mom sends me a dirty look as she gets back into her car.
"Hey is every thing ok, baby?" Pony asks wiping the last tears off my cheeks.
I sniff and kiss him. His lips move in sync with mine. We go to his room and lay on his bed. He connects his lips back to mine. He puts his hand up my shirt and onto the small of my back to pull me closer to him. We pull back gasping for air and stare into each other's eyes.
"You have pretty eyes" he whispers and I smile.
"I was wondering if you wanted to go to homecoming with me..." Pony whispers after a while. I grin and kiss him again mumbling 'yes' against his lips.
~~~~
"He seriously asked you to homecoming with... A mouth full of soup?!?!?!?" I ask Kee-Kee, dying of laughter.
"Yea, and some got in my eye" Kee-Kee says.
I die laughing on the ground. With tears coming out of my eyes.
"Alright, alright. Let's go shopping she says smiling at my dad's credit card on Pony's dresser.
We go to the dress shop and grab a couple dresses to try on.
I walk out in a full length purple with pretty beading.
Kee-Kee walks out in a knee length orange dress.
"Next." We state at the same time.
My next dress is a long fluffy zebra dress, that's ugly.
Kee-Kee's dress is a single shoulder mid thigh orange dress that goes well with her skin colour. She chooses that dress and sits down. I go back to try on my last dress. It's a golden strapless that goes mid thigh that brings out the golden highlights in my hair. I grin and take it off to buy it.
"That'll be $764.85" the man at the counter says putting our dresses in the bag. I hand him my Dad's credit card hesitantly.
Once we get back to the Curtis house, I look in the newspaper for a real estate agent. Pony sits next to me on the couch and wraps an arm around my shoulders, kissing my cheek.
"What are you doing, babe?" Pony asks me.
"er.. Looking for peopleto help me find a house here..." I mumble biting my pen.
"Aw, you sick of me already?" He asks teasingly.
"Yup." I say popping the 'p'.
"She's nice. My mom used to be friends with her." Pony says pointing to an ad.
